Hi my Question is how many people are on Enbrel. I am going to ask my Rheumy doctor if I can go on Enbrel. Pain meds are not helping my Arthritis anymore and the pain is getting worse for me.

Miracle cure for me so far. Started in November. Missed the last several weeks due to some confusion with my insurance, but no return of symptoms as of today...

Had no luck with pain medication, some luck with MTX, mixed results with Prednisone - but Enbrel has been working great so far. I might die early of cancer but at least I can move and live until then!
Arthritis (poss. RA) - Doc scripts: Enbrel, Methotrexate, Celebrex, Folic acid.  Self-scripts: Glucosamine, GNC Men's Sport multi-vitamin.

Hey there teddybear.. I have been on Enbrel for almost 3 years now.. and I'm a new person 'cause of it.. I see that you have Crohn's as well.. Enbrel may help that too.. if you try Enbrel, and it doesn't give you the results you want, have you thought about Remicade? Good luck to you and keep us posted!

Hi I forgot to tell I am on Remicade for my Crohn's. But it does not help the Arthritis. I don't now if I can use Enbrel and Remicade. I have to ask my Rheumy doctor. I am amazed the Remicade works for one and not the other for me.

Hi Teddy - no, you can't do both Remicade & Enbrel. Enbrel works well for RA/AS and the like, but it really doesn't do much for IBD's like Crohn's. Remicade or Humira are your best bets. Talk to your doctor about switching over to Humira since it's approved for RA & Crohn's.

I notice you have osteoarthritis rather than RA. I'm not sure it will help with osteoarthritis though, since (my understanding, I could be wrong) osteo is not an auto-immune type of arthritis and the biologics are made for auto-immune types of arthritis.

Good luck...
