Hi,

I either have osteo or inflammatory arthritis in my left wrist.  Its come to the point where it is very hard to pick things up with and bend and the pain has come down into my fingers.

This weekend my wrist has become very very swollen right down into my fingers and also have a rash all over my fingers (but think that its just my usual dermititis).

I do have a wrist support which I wear every day - but has anyone got any suggestions on how to help the swelling (I am on an anti inflammatory) and have an arthritis oil that I rub in.
Are there any exercises to help strengthen the wrist or is just going to get worse?  So fed up!!!!!!!!!

Hi teddybearweiser,

I actually see two Rhuemy doctors - a private one who is on holidays at the moment and I dont have an appointment til the 24 of Jan and the other is the head of the department at my public hospital and they close all the outpatient clinics for 5 weeks over xmas (stupid I know but our health system is in such a mess) so I wont get to see him til some time in Feb. So will have to ask my GP when I see her this Friday.  I will also ask her if I can see and Occupational Therapist who maybe able to show me how to do things easier.

Thanks
