Hi I am a crohnie being evaluated for arthritis.  My hand xrays shows "marked narrowing".  Can someone explain this to me.  As I peaked at the test results on the way back from x-ray so I couldn't ask my dr. up front.

Joint space narrowing is common in osteoartritis. In a couple of my fingers, the joint space has narrowed to the point that there is no space left. If the narrowing is in the hand bones, I believe that it MIGHT be an indicator of a different arthritic condition.
