I noticed today that I have bumps and indents on each of my nails right above the half moon. I read that this can be caused by arthritis. Does anyone else have this issue?

On top of that as some of you know I have had odd migratory joint pains lasting from 1 sec to hours. Also, joints are cracking excessivly---I am only 33.

I have the ridges and indents on my nail beds too, I have never been sure if they are caused by the arthritis or by the anemia (which is caused by the arthritis).

I had a cbc and am not anemic. However, my joints have been cracking often and I have migratory joint pain. My dr thinks this could be caused by possible colitis. I never noticed this until today

Hey there king.. do you have psoriasis? Does your nails look like pitting? (i.e. someone took a pin and made pin hole dents in your nail)? The reason why I ask is 'cause that is one of the symptoms of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis..

Holy crappers King.  I have those.  I have them on about 3 of my fingers right now.  I get them mainly on my thumbs.  Never thought twice about them..... I have lupus, which is inflammatory.  These Beaus lines are caused by inflammatory diseases it says..... Colitis is inflammatory too.  Wow, thanks for putting those links up for us to see.

Well it's good you're not anemic. Autoimmune disorders are a real mystery. It took me a decade to get my lupus diagnosis.  They all seem to mimick each other which makes figuring out what you have a huge time waster.  It's hard.  I understand completely.

Keep us posted okay,

Wow thanks Ginny for sharing. The odd thing is I have indents (just like the beaus lines) and also bumps that look like bumped beaus lines.

Why did it take so long for you to get dx w lupus? I am in so much joint pain at the moment it scares me. Its so wierd how it just zaps one of my joints for 10 seconds then 15 minutes its pulsating in another part of my body.

I did read that colitis can cause joint pains and as much as I dont "want" an autoimmune disease I DO want peace of mind knowing WHY my joints hurt SO much. I can deal with the side stomach pain....

What were your signs of lupus? I am amazed they did not catch it earlier with blood tests?

Do your bumps ever go away? My nails literally just started having them last week, its like one moring I woke up and they were there??
