Newbie asking questions

Hello, everyone! First of all, this site is extremely helpful and encouraging. Here's some background: I've been overweight my whole life (I'm 29), but haven't had trouble losing some from time to time. about 2 years ago, I was on Weight Watchers and wasn't losing weight. Went to my general doctor, she did blood tests. Everything was normal (including all thyroid panels) except for an extremely elevated ANA. Went to rheumy #1. He told me to join a gym. This was in March. By November, I was GAINING weight while on Weight Watchers and with regular exercise. My knees began to hurt when walking up/down stairs and my hair was falling out more than usual. Went to rheumy #2 who did 2 panels of bloodwork over a 6 month period of time, diagnosing me with UCTD (thyroid still normal). She also said that my weight gain has nothing at all to do with it. So, I still have a weight issue, PLUS a new disease. I'm chosing not to take any medications, as my husband and I want to start a family soon. After a stint of depression, I'm back on Weight Watchers and trying to exercise, which is extremely hard on my knees. I've also been unsuccessful in losing the weight (although i'm not gaining as fast). I've gone up 30 lbs. in a year while eating well and exercising regularly. It's just unfair!
 
Any advice you guys have as far as exercise or vitamins to help with the pain and my weight loss would be greatly appreciated.  I'm so frustrated that no one seems to know what's wrong with me! I feel like I'm 87 years old and I'm only 29!

oh boy, I hear you.

Is your liver okay? That will hinder you from loosing weight and may make you gain. Are you on meds that might hinder as well? A PPI (like Nexium), birth control, prednisone, etc? Have you tried food allergy testing? Or taking gluten and wheat out of your diet for 6 weeks and seeing what happens? Or dairy?
