My new rheumy appt went well. Love the doctor. She suspects Psoriatic Arth. Said no blood work reveals. Based on symptoms and other clues. Took xrays of hands and feet, where my pain is the worst. Did all sorts of blood work, ruling other diseases out. Said she may want to do MRI depending on all this. I should find out results tomorrow. Anxious to know.

She addressed my FM pain too and how I needed to do some other things to assure I'm keeping myself from as much pain and fatigue as possible, such as adequate sleep, rest, using my Cpap machine, etc...

I have to visit a dermatologist to confirm psoraisis on scalp, forehead, ears, etc.... Said we would meet back and discuss all.

She thoroughly discussed FM and imflammatory arthritis and how they work on our bodies and the ways of treatment. I feel extremely comfortable to talking to her. I hope I keep this good feeling about her.

Will keep you posted. Meanwhile, my feet and hands continue to hurt so bad. It is getting harder to walk.

Kaymac-that sounds like a great start. A good relationship with your doctor is the best line of defense against these illnesses.
Please do keep us posted about how you are doing and what your doc finds.

Hi Kaymac,

Good to hear that your appointment went well and that you were HEARD!!!!  What a relief. I hope you get your treatment quickly.  It's not easy living with FM and arthritis is it.  The pain is so much more worse.

My diagnosis turned out to be a massive FM flare.  No joint problems, but I do have plantar fasciitis. So I see a foot specialist next Tuesday.

I wish you all the best,

Ginny
