If your neurologist said that a herniated disc will not cause pain to go down your leg then yes I agree that it's time to find a new doctor! I have a friend who has DDD and recently had surgery to repair a herniated disc in her lower back. But before the surgery, yes she had almost constant pain radiating down her legs in addition to losing bowel control.
