Hi,

I'm sorry to hear of the terrible pain in your hands.  I have pain in my hands that go from tolerable to extreme pain.  My rheumy tells me my hands and wrists are full of arthritis, and that I will have "flare-ups" that are extremely painful.  Are you on any medication to help with the pain?

Many Hugs,
Bendle

Nodules in/on the finger joints can cause deformity. All of my fingers are curving one direction or the other due to Heberden’s nodes. That is the name of the bone spurring causing the curving. Mine is caused by osteoarthritis. I first noticed mine in my mid 40s. Your PCP might sugggest anti-inflammatiries like ibuphrofen or naproxysn if your stomach will tolerate them. Until you consult with your doctor, have you tried Tylenol?
