Yesterday i noticed my wrist was kinda sore and when i looked at it and bent my wrist back I had a good sized knot there. This happened all of a suuden and kind of concerned me. As the day progressed it got bigger and more painful. I look up ganglion cyst on google and it looked exactly like one. Last night it must have popped because today its almost unnoticable and feels much better. Has anyone else experience one of these?

Yes, I've had two of them. The first one was on my wrist, on the top and I had it drained. The second one was on the side of my wrist and it went away on it's own. Usually these are harmless and either go away on their own but in some instances they have to be drained. My husband had a rather large one on his wrist and had to have it drained twice.

Yes I have had gandlion cysts and you can not do anything much with them when they get bad you can go to a doctor and get them syringed but other than that you can't do too much with them I have broken my wrist many years ago and I kept working with it and the resault was damage to my tendons and now I have a permanent one on my right arm. They are a bit annoying and somtimes sore but not threatening nothing to worry about .

It is alittle strange that it lasted less than 24 hours but I read that you can hit them with something and they can pop. I hit it with a backscratcher and it hurt but it was gone the next morning. Whatever it was Im glad its gone.

Just be careful if you get another one and try to smack it! LOL Because you can do damage to what lies beneath the cyst. I've heard that too and in fact, I was working at a medical facility and went to one of the docs there for my first cyst and he whipped out a very large and heavy medical text book, he said place your hand here on the table and picked up the book. I snatched my hand back before he could do anything! Of course I think he was joking but I thought, hmm now wouldn't THAT hurt more then the cyst???
