Just thought I would share some info from my rheumatologist.
Before I started on the Humira for my psoriatic arthritis I was getting Iritis one to two times a year. Two days ago I had some symptoms so I called my eye specialist and sure enough I have it again.
I called my rheumy as I hadn't had the Iritis while on the Humira and didn't know if I should continue my injections. She said that people with psoriatic arthritis are very prone to the Iritis and that actually Humira is given to treat it. On that note, I told her that I didn't think the Humira injections every two weeks was cutting it for me anymore and that I started having a lot of pain and swelling about four days before my next shot was due. She is calling my insurance company to see if they will authorize me to take weekly shots.
Anyway - just thought I would share that info with you.
Hope all are well,
