Hi All,
Someone at a health food store suggested I try COQ10 for RA symptoms. I've learned to take health food stores' employees advice with a grain of salt, but thought I'd ask if anyone has taken it for RA and had good/any results. I hope everyone is having a great day. I took my MTX last night and feel pretty wimpy today, but it's not too bad. So, has anyone tried COQ10? Thanks.

Hi there,

Yes, I've tried it along with other remedies. At one time I was really frustrated with my pain level and my meds and decided to go the all natural route (devils claw etc) I'm sorry to say I never found any of them to be the strength of the prescription form arthritis medications, and although my doctor warned me ahead of time, I still had to try them anyway.  I hope you have a different outcome.  Good luck.

Hi there,
Mainly I was just curious. My meds are working pretty well, although I'm still in some pain, but I've had chronic pain for so long that the RA pain I currently have isn't that bad in comparison. At least, not today : ) Thanks

Lady,
I use Co Q-10 every day. I know a lot of the meds the drs. have us on deplete the Q-10 levels in the body. There is Q-10 in every single cell in your body and especially the heart. I use it on the advice of my heart specialist. I do colustrum and hylaronic acid. These do not really help arthur but they are fantastic for skin, heart, and the immune system.
For pain I use Super Cissus RX (has a built in natural painkiller) and boi-sil. One rebuilds the tendons, ligaments, and muscles and the other rebuilds the callogen. I don't pop and crunch half as bad as I used to. I've been on them a little over 3 months now and I used my regular prescription painkillers (flexirol and darvacet) for the first 2 1/2 months. I haven't taken any otc or pres. meds in over 2 weeks now. I was out on vacation for 11 days and went back to work today. I ached a little but I took my nite dose of Super Cissus and am fine. I work at least 8 hours a day on my feet.....concrete floors....in a dishroom of a 200 bed nursing home.
The best thing of these is I am sleeping a lot better. I still have nites when I ache because of the rain fronts moving in but they are not so bad I can't deal with them. I take a SC and a hot shower and go right back to sleep.
I am getting into the deep sleep which I never could before and am much happier and can deal with stress much better.
I got these on the advice of a body builder who works at an herbal shop. He tore his knees and elbows up lifting heavy so he knew the type of pain I was in. I told him I had knee surgery and it left my kneecap off to the side. Even with all of the damage I can work and walk like a human being which I haven't been able to do in a long time. I can even KNEEL down with either no or very little pain. I'm talking asphalt and gravel.
If you go into the web sites for either product you will see that there is no side effects and are used by male body builders.    Personally, I'm glad I fouind them.
If you want a cheap help. Go to the liquor store and get a bottle of generic gin. Get golden raisins and soak them in the gin for a week and take 9 a day. It works and it was on Paul Harvey radio show.
     Good luck
