This may not be for everyone but someone else has to try this and let me know if it is just me....here goes. I have heard for a long time that Apple Cider vinegar and honey is good for arthritis. I tried it years ago but couldnt stand the taste. I have Crohn's and severe arthritis. I stopped Remicade 4 months ago because it quit working and my arthritis has gone nuts. Its in almost every joint.
Yesterday I made a light dinner of baked chicken and baked potato but this time I made another dish Ive never made. Cucumbers and onions made from 1 1/2 cups Braggs apple cider vinegar, 1 1/2 cups water, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup salt and alittle pepper. I was afraid to eat the fresh cucumbers because of my active crohns but the juice was so tasty I sipped it with my meal. sweet, tangy and delicious!!! then I actually drank a bit of it. I woke up this morning and my arthritis is better than its been in months. the swelling in my left hand is gone and my ankle is half the size it was. They have been flaired up bad for well over a month. I am stunned and excited. if this works for you please let me know. I have called my new concoction Witch Juice and I am a believer now!!!!
Crohns 30 years. Ileostomy for 15 years. Symptom free for 14 years until 10 months ago. Was on Remicade but just recently switched to Humira because remicade stopped working, B-12 injections and iron.
God Bless. Tony

Never tried it but have an online acquaintance who swears by it. Guess I'll have to get some today!

We had a thread discussion about that quite some time ago....someone mentioned they drink pickle juice for the same reason...something about the vinegar helping, I think. It had to be a specific type of pickle juice as well...... you know, if it doesn't affect your chrons negatively, I say go for it!

Hi Tony,
Your recipe sounds yummy! How many cucumbers and onions did you use in the recipe - I would like to give it a go.
Thanks Jo

One large cucumber and One medium onion. Even if your not trying to reduce swelling anywhere, they are delicious!!

Has anyone tried gin and raisins?  You take generic gin and golden raisins....soak for 1 week and then take 9 a day.
It works! First time I was able to climb a flight of stairs without stopping. It was on Paul Harvey's radio show. smilewinkgrin

Nana,
Do you eat all 9 raisins at once, or do you spread them out over the day? I have to ask because I'm a recovered alcoholic, and I wouldn't want to get too much alcohol in my system at one time. I use cough medicine with alcohol sometimes, but have to be very careful with the quantity. Thanks.

Lady,
As I can't stand the taste I rinse them off in water and swollow them like pills. No way am I gonna chew! Take all
9 at once. I think there is only a few drops you imbibe but it changes the molecular structure of the  raisins to work
on good old Arthur.  I've had him since I was 7 and now do an herbal regeime and have found wonderful relief from
the pain and damage of 48 years of arthritis and fibro.

Nana,
Thanks for the tip. I'll get a little shooter bottle of gin and some golden raisins tomorrow and give it a try. Since I'm being slowly weaned off the prednisone I'm having more pain, and I'll try anything to relieve it. Thanks again.
