I have post polio syndrome and recently developed edema in my feet and legs. My doctor put me on lasix to get rid of the water retention and a potassium pill. The potassium is making me naucous on a daily basis. Does anyone else have a problem with potassium making them sick? I really appreciate receiving feedback if you can offer any help for me.

Sorry to hear you are having so much trouble with your potassium.  My daughter has a kidney disorder and due to her medication we have to watch her levels.  Did you have your potassium levels tested and they were too low? Did you try keeping your levels up with diet before needing the pills? My daughter is on Thalitone and so far we have been able to keep her level up with diet, (a banana a day) I'm not sure if this is an option for you? Please let your doctor know you aren't feeling well with the pill.

I hope you feel better soon!

Thank you for the wonderful reply momto3, I really appreciate it. I moved my doctor apt from the 30th of the month to this coming Thursday. I'm having blood work done Monday AM. I will certainly ask my doctor about what you have suggested and it really gives me something more to consider. Blood work tells so much. Take care and thank you!

You are so welcome! I'm not familiar with your medication by any means, but if at all possible it is at least worth while waiting to see if the medication is affecting your levels to begin with and then go from there, I would say at least one month in? Good luck!
