I've had active Reiter's for over ten years now. This year I hit the magic age of 50 and more joints seem to ache and be stiff at the same time than previously. Previously I have been fortunate to have mild symptoms but recently I feel worse. Has anyone tried Enbrel or any related drugs for Reiter's and what is your experience? Thanks for the feedback

Welcome to the HW forum guynh :) Sorry you have to be here though.
I have no experience with either Reiters or the med Enbril, but hopefully someone will come along who has and help answer your questions.

Thanks for the good thoughts SydneyJo. I have been taking minocycline and prednisone for the last week and my symptoms are improving. Hopefully it will get me over the hump.

Guynh,
Yeh pred is my love/hate drug - gotta love that it makes you feel invincible, but gotta hate the side effects. Good luck and keep posting on your progress.

If you need a steroid check out yucca root. It is a natural steroid without many of the side effects. The
American Indians used it. With Embrel be very careful as one of the side effects is MS. In Arthritis Today
they have many of the side effects that you don't get from your brochure in the pharmacy.
