I wanted to let people know that Imuran is working for my RA. I have been taking it for about 6 weeks. I am certainly not pain free, but, I have picked up cases of bottled water, gallons of milk and worked in my yard, etc. and haven't paid the big, up all night in severe pain price. I am extremely encouraged. I cannot take sooooo many of the anti-inflamatory drug due to alergies that is wonderful to have positive results. I had minor stomach upset for the first week or so but then nothing. I am thrilled. Might get a little bit of my life back and maybe even take off a couple of pounds that I have gained due to physical limitations. I hope this info can help someone else.

Glad to hear this good news CrohnsMom. Do you have Crohn's too? If you do Imuran is used as a maintenance med for that as well, so you get the double whammy benefit.

Hi Jo. I do not have Crohns. My daughter was diagnosed with CD almost 12 years ago. That is when I came to HealingWell to help her fight. I cannot tell you how helpful it was. She takes Imuran after trying Remicade & humira. After she reported no side effects I ask my doc if we could try it. He said it was gonna be his next choice. I am just thrilled. I walked on my treadmill yesterday with no ill effects. That is major for me as almost anything physical I did two months ago would put me on pain killers the next day. God is good.

Im so glad you are able to do 'normal' things again.
Its a blessing when you finally find the right meds for you and they give you back a semblance of a 'normal' life :)
