I really don't know how to say this.... but i am so sick of being sick!!! cry
I have been nauseated for about 2yrs now.... up and down with how bad. I also have shocks believed to be from my cervicle spine injury and surgery. That just adds to the nausea and i almost vomit from it!!!! I just wish i could feel good again. I asked my rheumy about the nausea,, He said it's from the fibro... others say they think it's from the rheumitoid arthritis. Whatever the case may be.. i wish there was a cure. Lemonade used to work for me... but that's not working so good anymore. Being on the computer is starting to get very hard to do lately!!
Anyway, I am babling... sorry. Has anyone or is anyone dealing with this... and did you deal with it before you were diagnosed?? I appreciated your responses!!! (((((((( hugs ))))))))) for anyone who wants one.... sad Thank you, Laura <3

Hi Laura,
Gingertea, is what I use for nausea. Lots of water and sipping ginger tea, some pain meds make me feel more nauseus than others do. Sometimes its a combination. I use to feel alot worse before I was put on supplements, have your mineral and vitamin levels tested with your next blood test. I was extremily low in vit D, once I was put on that supplement I haven't had the same nausea problem.

When it was really bad I use to take nexium, that worked really well for settling the stomach. But as I said the supplements seem to have done the trick for me. I'd investigate further. Or ask your PCP about it.

Best of luck, golitho

Hi Laura,

UGH - two years of nausea - I couldn't stand it!

I suffer with nausea on occasions due to my Crohn's Disease - never really thought the RA could do this - you never know really do you?

Could also be the meds - a lot have nausea as a side-effect.

When I feel nauseous I drink tea - black and sweet.

Not much help, but do feel your pain.

Jo

Hey gonuts, I just read you're on arava. I was on that for awhile, 3 months, it made me feel quite sick, when I was finally taken off it I felt so much better. Maybe its your meds making you sick?

Worth talking to your specialist anyway, golitho

My sympathies go out to you-I've had horrible nausea from some of my meds, and what worked for me was
1) Nexium
2)Ginger Tea (from the Asian grocery)
3)Folic Acid (for nausea caused by methotrexate)

I don't know what state you're in, but here in Colorado you can get (edited out due to forum rules), which might help, I don't know, I'm just throwing that out there. The Nexium was the real miracle worker for me though, even though it's kind of expensive. Good Luck.

I'm sorry to hear you have such terrible nausea. Have you visited a gastro to investigate the cause? Does it happen after you eat or is it all day? I started having difficulty with nausea after I would try to eat, and would have horrible nausea and sometimes vomiting as well and had to visit the GI doc to figure out what was wrong.  I still take promethezine (anti-nausea pills) from time to time if I eat foods I shouldn't. While I'm not saying that you have GP,   I'm sorry to hear you are sick all the time, I know that feeling from having GP and it can be miserablesad   My advice would be to see a GI doc to find out what could be causing it, because it isn't normal to be nauseas on a daily  basis.  I hope you feel better soon!
