Hi there, I take vitamin D, osteoapetite ( a mix including calcium) Magnesium oretate, folate 5, fish oil (2.3g)glucosimine and zinc.
My rheumy swears by huge amounts of fish oil. I have sourced a mega dose of it so that I don't have to swallow 14 capsules a day! Only take 2.
I also do hydro therapy or physio under water to build and maintain my strength, this has helped me so much as my disease has flared to the point I can't exercise out of water now.
Massage helps but I see a masseuse who is used to RA.
I see an OT who has modified tasks for me and given me splints etc to use to help me drive, sleep etc.
I have also seen a pain psychologist to help me deal with the chronic pain and have a very supportive local doctor as well.
I am going to try acupuncture as I hear this can help with pain too. But I am a coward and haven't taken that step yet.
Hope this all helps. I took chondriton forawhile too and my naturopath has now reccomended adding Nalcosimine (made from tumeric) 3 tablets a day.
So there you go, my theory is try anything and see if it works. I got sick of swallowing all these capsules and stopped at one stage and noticed it about a week later so it does something for me!
