So I ended finaly taking this Hydrocodone. After getting shots of Prednisone last Saturday I flare up on Wendsday?? Is in't that strange that shots were good just for few days? I probably have very good tolerance... I was in horible pain on Thursday like never before but still was hoping that it will just last for the night and at the morning I will be fine, like it used to be. Not this time... I did't sleep all night. So I finally decided to take the pill and at first I was suprised that it didn't help for another 2-3 hours, and then little by little.. But it wasn't that bad as I thought.

Next day I had doctors appointment and got some more shots. Additionaly I started to get some bloody blisters - one on my knucle - right hand, on the elbow, in my nose, and few on the calf and tigh...
Doctor thinks that it may be reaction to some of the medicine I am taking  - Plaquenil or Isoniazid, so they told me to stop taking them, so I did. Again high dose of Prednisone starting from 6pills a day - 10mg - for 3 days, then 5 pills for 3 days and etc.

I am seeing dermatologist tomorrow to figure out what the blisters are, because rhemy doesn't have a clue. Does anybody had something like that?

Hi, waiting for the biopsy and blood test results, I will let you know. They have some ideas, it maybe connected to RA but I hope not... it would be rare. We'll see... Actually the blisters looked like nodules at the beggining then started to be bloody blisters on top... Got some ointments and they look better now as I am still on high dose of Prednisone now - started from 6pills - 10mg for 3 days and going down, so doctor says it calmed them down too.

OK just the update - all the results came back - negative. So everything is fine with me. Dermatologist scared me as hell... He even wasn't sure what is it and at the time of the visit printed all the crazy information about what kind of the desease it might be... With all this crazy pictures!!! Of course he said - do not focus on this information until we get blood and biopsy results but well... it was hard to not think about it! I don't think he should do that.

So it look like my body when flares up does crazy things - I hope it will never happen again! Prednisone is working fantastic for last 2 weeks! I stayed on 10mg a day, went back on Plaquenil and Isoniazid. And we'll se how it goes.

Im glad that it was nothing too serious Bstrong :-)
Its funny how our body reacts to a flare or even the meds we take. I have had some really unusual symptoms brought on by flares and meds.
Hope the pred does the trick for you.
Take care

OK probably said to fast. I had apointment today to take of the stitches from the elbow where they took the sample of skin for the biopsy. They told me earlier all the results they got were negative, today they told me they just got the rest of the biopsy results which says :

DIAGNOSIS: NEUROPHILIC DERMATOSIS. THE FINDINGS COULD BE COSISTENT WITH SWEET'S SYNDROME OR NEUROPHILIC DERMATOSIS OF THE DORSAL HANDS, IF THIS FITS THE CLINICAL THE POSSIBILITY OF AN INFECTIOUS ABSCESS COULD ALSO BE CONSIDERED.

What the dermatologist scared me at the first visit he told me it might be- MULTICENTRIC RETICULOHISTIOCYTOSIS which wasn't confirmed after blood work and biopsy. I am fine, everything is gone, they told me to come back if the symptoms will reappear - hope not!

SydneyJo - thanks :) yeah Prednisone does the trick... at least I have some time to Humira and next week VACATION TIME!!!! Wish me good luck !!! :) I just want relax and forget about all of this...
