Hello Everyone,
I just want to tell you a little about me. I was born in New York state but now live in California. I found out I have RA in 2001 and it hit me pretty hard. I did not completely understand what it was at that time but I soon found out. I do remicade everyeight weeks and take methotrexate once a week. I am still on my feet. I love to walk, listen to music, make new friends and am active in my church. I also read a lot of books. As for the pain, well it is always present. I have lost a lot of my independence. My husband passed away a little over three years ago. It has been tough as he took care of the bills and such. I had never lived alone. Also I turned 65 in June. I have other medical issues. I am totally blind and have a hearing loss. I try to do as much for myself as I can. I have good friends who help when I need it. We only had one child and he is 40. I have three grandchildren. Well, I will get off the soap box now. I almost forgot, I have a black lab guide dog named Kodak. Thaks for reading.

Hello again thanks for the reply. I also love to write poetry and short stories. Is there a group for stuff like that here on healintwell?

Welcome again morning joy. Thanks for you intro. hope you enjoy coming on here to talk with the lovely members we have on the RA forum. A black labrador - I have a golden Lab as a pet, he is only one and is still quite naughty even after having been to puppy school. I am often heard telling him how he should be good and smart like guide and sniffer Labs lol.
Take care and look forward to your input on the forum.
