I went to my Rhuemy appt and now he says he does not think it is AS. He said he is sorry if he mislead me. He says he thinks it is deg. joint disease/osteoarthritis. OK....and he also stated that even if it were AS, the treatments are the same anyway. Hmm, all I know is I hurt all the time now and want it to stop. The Arthrotec 75 wasn't working well after about
2 months, DARN! Now I am on Ketoprofen for 2 weeks, and if that doesn't help, then I try Indocin. Anyone familiar with these! So far I am not thinking the Ketoprofen is going to work much. I have been on it 1 1/2 weeks and it is not much different. I also have to take a Prilosec every morning to help protect my stomach. My reg. Dr told me a while back that nearly all of his patient who were treated long term with NSAIDS developed ulcers. UGH! One more problem I do NOT need. I would appreciate any advice or experinces from you that you have. I just want to stop having pain 95% of the time! We even bought a Comfort Select Numbers Bed, which we LOVE.
If the Indocin also does not work then I call him back and see what he suggests. Well, I have rambled enough, thanks for being here

Hi Gail, thanks for the update.
I am so sorry you continue to have pain,w/o relief. I know it is hard to live with on a daily basis.Just remember to take your NSAIDS as prescribed and not miss doses. That is the best way to get a build up level. All NSAIDS do have the potential to cause stomach ulcers....bleed. Most doctors recommend they be taken on a full stomach, with a full glass of water.Hope the Ketoprofen works for you, but if you have to go on Indocin, remember to stay sitting up for a full half hour after you take it.
I have probably been on every NSAID known to man and docs..LOL, had no relief from them. I wish you good relief from this new med and if not..well on to the next. Trial and error and one day we find something that will help us a little.
Glad you are enjoying your new bed, had one for about
2 years, then it did not help me anymore, so we sold it to try something different.
Please continue to keep us updated on your pain relief,
warm wishes to ya,
flopsie
