thanks Judy,
yep tomorrow it is. not feeling well, so i hope it's quick. my father would never sit for that. he doesn't even know about it, and plus there is a restraining order for him by my mother...(she was abused). he has no idea what is going on...doesn't bother to ask me anything and i rarely speak to him. so ig he still wants to help out with my meds i'll take that, heck...it's the least he can do right??

Thanks Judy, at least the doc explained the neuropathy a little better, so I do think that is what is causing the pain..He said it affect the nerve endings(which i knew) and then it sends improper signals to your brain. For instance, you feel like your feet are on fire and you know they are not, but your brain does not know that. Hope you do not have it.

Praying for you also,
flopsie

Dear Erin,
I am glad to hear your Dad is helping you with your meds. can he not put you back on his medical insurance plan?
I hope your visit goes fast too. have you decided whether or not to have your mom with you or are you asking her to leave for a short period of time.
It can get complicated if they think she is contributing to the household income. However I have always tried to live by "honesty is the best policy", but I also live by treating people with respect and dignity. I sure do not think the system has treated you with the proper respect for the level of pain you have had to endure.
Judy/Effie :-)
P.S. You will be in my prayers tonight and tomorrow morning. Let us know how it goes. I will pray that this person will understand how rough your situation is and be supportive. Hope they can get the ball rolling for you quickly. Thanks for the email. I will write back soon. It was so kind of you.

Good moanin to you Flop & everyone,

I too am moanin, I played w/grandson he is now 5 months old & weighs almost 17lbs. Well, picking this fat little booger up several times Fri knocked his Gran's back out. I have been hitting the oxy's and muscle relaxers at night. I can take the oxy's during the day. I have another tune-up scheduled next week for my pain pump but may call for an earlier appt if things don't let up. Am still having so much trouble w/swelling in feet & legs. Lots of hugs & love to all, Susie

goodevening rather,

i'm not feeling well...so i may be taking a break for a bit.  there are so many new interesting posts, but i'm exhausted.

not sure if it's a combo of RA and CD flare or what.  but i slept ALL day...every time i went to lay down.  this is unusual.  lots of knee pain and threw up this morning after a nite of "D".  maybe it's crohns related, the vommiting.  i'm not one to heave. confused

stress is catching up with me too.

thanks all for being so very supportive.

it's been a tough week.

looking forward to the "Apprentice" tonite.  i like the Trump! :-)

Sweetie, you're sick. DO NOT wait too long to go to doctors. You're taking Humira, right? This could turn in to pneumonia so fast from just lifting a finger. So, please, please, please, if this gets any worse or there is ANY indication of possible infection - GO TO ER and get antibiotics ASAP!

I can't tell you how concerned I am for you......just stay in bed the next couple of days. Don't bother even getting dressed - unless you are changing your PJ's after a hot shower.  smurf   Don't stress, don't think about ANYTHING that will give you stress...just put on the relaxing music, keep the blinds closed, and dream of something relaxing and joyful.

thanks Camama,
you're the best. i rested all day today, (besides being on the pot) and playing with my cats. feeling fatigued and a little weird in the chest when breathing in.
i'm going with my honey tomorrow nite...won't be doing much & get to rest Sunday...but we're headed to the village (NYC) for a group called The Kennedy's. hopefully will be able to get through it. we don't go out often.
come monday...if i still feel real weak i'll see my PCP for some chest xrays and a work up.
i won't exert myself and i'll be sure to stay warm! thank you so much for your concern. getting ready to turn in.

mad  very very very BAD joint pains in my knees today.  Joe had to dump his lunch bag out and give me his ice pack while we drove in this morning. mad
all wrapped up in LidoDerm patches now.  resting. elevating.  need to see the rheummy but putting it off.  $$$ eyes REASONS.

yesterday a bad CD flare came between my honey & myself.  we were to go out last nite to see a show with 2 friends.  i was in bad shape...but i insisted i still would be able to make it...although i suppose he wasn't believing me.  he called his buddy and cancelled.  i got angry and upset.  things got tense for a few hours and i was really sad/crying.  very upset about how all of this is getting in the way of things.  and plus i knew how much he wanted to see this show.

it was so strange to not talk to each other for the entire day.  i guess, he was scared/pi**ed off/ fed up/ frustrated that i wasn't feeling well and in pain and on the pot all day and white as a sheet. sad

but as i tell myself many times, "there ain't nothing  a good pair of shoes, mascara and lipstick can't fix!" tongue loaded up on morphine and Immodium tongue .

HAPPY ENDING:  The Kennedy's @ the venue in the village were great and my honey had a wonderful time (i guess there ain't nothin' 3 beers can't fix either).  he got happier as the nite went on, seeing that i was making it through, and grinning and bearing it.  i did it for him.

what it came down to is he said, "i just can't  stand to see you suffer."

this has been happening a lot.
has anyone gone to counseling because of their illness?  i mean regarding it's toll on marriage/relationships.

so , Monday now is OK.  i guess we've al been down this road.

Well, let's just say hubby and me SHOULD have been in counseling....right now we're doing okay, but there is so much between us that is still strained. He just won't let go of certain things and he can't go beyond a black and white world when mine is so grey. However, my issues were just not as tangible as yours are and since the docs gave me such a run around, the idea of brining him in to the situation was never thought of because every doc said something new/different. We thought, 'once we get firm answers, you'll come with...' but the firm answers just never came and I haven't had a doctor I trust enough to explain what they do know to him properly......

I'm sorry your weekend was so strained.....have you started any depression meds yet? I really think you need to Erin. It will help you with these flares and boughts and hopefully help the emotional breakdowns you are having.  I know funds are a big issues........

Anyway, sorry to be such a nag, I'm really one who shouldn't talk.  I hope you feel better.

Take care.

Camama, we have to be nags, our Erin is still in denial. She needs to go through the 5 steps of acceptance before she will accept the meds she needs.

(stepping off soapbox)... Sorry erin but honey, you know we are worried about your state of mind.

Thanks Ducky,
I picked up an indie film, "A Wedding for Bella".  I like those Sundance films & unknown filmakers and all.  Going to watch it tomorrow after the doctor's appt.  I'll have a sore tush... sad have to get some solumedrol shots. sad
In a bad flare still.  eyes Although it's ascending upwards in my elbows now.  Bummer.  Been taking it easy.
Yeah, I'm so happy it's my honey's Bday Sunday.  I got him "ALLURE" homme by channell and Stella Artois challesses...they're like fancy goblets.  Had fun wrapping them.  I like celebrating other people's birthdays...not too much my own.

Congrats on your workouts!  Hows the knees holding up??  I loved to bike ride.  How's the Enbrel working for you?  Think it's been beneficial?

Hey Erin -

Workouts are going good, did Pilates yesterday as well as went to the gym and rode the stationary bike for 35 minutes... Baby steps... I figure whatever I do is more than what I used to do right?  I went and saw an Exercise Physiologist and she gave me an exercise prescription, so I've been trying to follow that.  I have to do a cardio workout 4-5 times a week for at least 30 -45 minutes... Then I have to do stretching/strength exercises throughout the week also, that's why I am doing the Pilates.  Knees aren't happy with me, but they'll get over it!  scool I refuse to let this get me down anymore.  I'm gonna work through it, I've set my mind and that's all there is to it.  After this weekend, my feet and my knees were hurting badly, so I took Monday off exercise wise and picked back up on it Tuesday.  I don't want to have too many down days 'cause then I will get right back to where I was in the first place...

Anyways - what time is your dr's appointment?  I hope you get some relief soon.  I am very excited about you getting the help you need... FINALLY!

The Enbrel seems to be working well for me... At least so far so good... tongue

Well, I'm off to work... Will post more later - Have a good day and get some rest - Duck

hey all,

tushy is sore!  shot to both cheeks and they're weren't smilin' either!  naw...they're OK, just hurts to sit.

the steroids should help ease up this flare.

doc filled out the disability forms from SSI for me too real quick.  so things feel like they're getting accomplished.

get a day off tomorrow from all docs & papers...hooray.

hoping everyone is doing OK.
