This thread has made me cry. It has made me angry. Thank God you had the training and knowledge to be there for him as a child! I cannot believe the things that little boy has had to go through. I cannot describe how all this made me feel. It sounds like if he's getting restless at the hospital, he is starting to feel better. I hope all is well with him and will keep him in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery and that the doctors can figure out what exactly caused this.
As for your daughter not telling you - I would be extremely angry (fuming mad actually) as well, but if you were alone all day and having the health issues you've been dealing with, I might have done the same thing - make sure there was someone home with you when you got the news for obvious reasons. I know it is tough not being there with him, but it is for the best. Can you talk to him on the phone? Hearing his voice and knowing he's doing better can do lots for one's peace of mind.
Now.....as for that teacher....the anger I felt when I heard what she/he did! I cannot say the words on here. To let a child with a massive headache cry all day at school and not call the mother. To even allow a child who claims to be sick STAY at school w/o contacting a parent. Argggh, I can't even write....The teacher needs more than a few harsh words. The principal needs to get an earful as well....possibly the local news to make people aware that the school's policy is not up to par on this situation. Does the school know that he has health issues? If so, even bigger shame on them and his teacher!
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
am saying a little prayer for Mychoo tonite before i go to bed.
I am glad he is coming home. I will keep him in my prayers that the meds help him feel better and they can get some answers to why this happened.
Yes, I know I have been MIA for awhile. rying to get myself sorted out and what a project that has turned into.
I was totally livid when I read your post. That teacher, I hope was taken down a few notches by your daughter and I hope she also addressed this behaviour with the principle. How many little ones that age would fake something as drastic as what that little fella was going thru. It just makes you want to go for the juglar vein.
I am so sorry to hear about the seizure activity the little guy has. He surely has had his share of medical problems to be such a young little fella, my heart goes out to him. I know understand something my niece has dealt with concerning her 3 yr old daughter. She began running a very high fever out of the blue, began convulsing. She was put in the hospital for a week and they did every rotten test known to mankind. She had a seizure at the hospital so they got to see it first hand. They gave no explanation except that anytime she runs a fever to get her either to the dr or hospital.
I know your daughter was only trying to look out for her Mom, so don't be too hard on her. Glad the 2 of you sorted this out.
Please know that entire family is in my prayers. Please let us know how the little guy is doing. Lots of love & hugs coming your way....Susie
