Hey Guys - I forgot to take  my shot of Enbrel last night... I have called the dr. but he's not in yet and I can't find anything on the Enbrel website... any suggestions?  Do I just give myself the shot today?  And every Wednesday from now on?  Or do I give my self the shot today and again next Tuesday to get back on my same schedule?  Or, do I just wait til next Tuesday?  I've never forgotten before... I don't know what is wrong with me, but I've not been myself lately... I just feel "out of whack" so to speak... anyways - any help would be appreciated... thanks - Duck

Ducky, usually I would tell you it shouldn't hurt to go ahead and take missed dosage, but just read your other post and think you should call your doctor first!

a) Call your doctor.

b) What happens if I miss a dose? [Yahoo Health]
Etanercept (injectable)
Brand Names: Enbrel

If you miss a dose and it is less than 48 hours since that dose was due, make up the missed injection as soon as you remember. However, if more than 48 hours have passed since the missed dose was due, do not make up that injection. Instead, simply wait until your next regularly scheduled dosing day and use the usual single dose.

c) Call your doctor

i would say wait until you find out what's going on with your chest/lungs first!

Thanks for the advice guys... Hey Hubby, you crack me up... it hurts to laugh, but did it anyway when I read your post... I get the feeling you want me to call the doctor?  tongue I left a message for my PCM (Primary Care Manager) and haven't heard anything back yet.  Will hopefully hear something tomorrow... My rheumy said to go ahead and take the Enbrel... so I did... don't feel any worse right now, and don't really feel any better... so I guess I'm ok? nono

So, Ducky, what was the final outcome?

The Dr. said to go ahead and take my shot, which I did... still have the pain when I breath, was just on my right side, but now is one the left also... doc said it is related to my allergies and to give it some time.... whatever... I think I need a new doc
