Good moanin' all
It's been  really beautiful in the northeast too.  almost peak time for the trees & has been quite warm for October.
sad  Still not making any progress with these darn joints. mad Elbows & knees are still awful.
Back on prednisone yesterday & the day before.
The CD and RA are like feeding off each other!!  No bowel movement for 5 DAYS!!! and on the 4th and 5th days was when the joints really started acting up.  Throbbing, pain and heat....and the abdominal pain really stunk too.
I think the pred helps the CD more than it did my joints this week!  Oy!!!

Flopsie, I'm happy to see you're up and writing!  That's a good sign.  Is the eye getting less severe as the days go by? I sure hope so.

Hopefully this will be a better day than yesterday and can get some important things accomplished.  I'm pretty much all set in the medicaid and assistance areas...I just need to get my butt up there one more time to pick up some stuff.  Giving that a shot in a few hours.  Knees, please don't fail me now!
Gosh, it's November!  where has time gone?????? seems like it was just summer time.
Have a happy wednesday

When it rains it pours... Is there anything you can do to the other doc since he screwed up? Tomorrow will be better, I can feel it... gotta look for the good in everything, if we don't, our days will be even darker... Hang in there... Here, my son told my this joke today, and it hurt, but I laughed so hard... the innocence of a 6 year old... ok, ready? Here goes... He said.. "Mommy, what goes 'Oh, Oh, Oh'? " I said, "Uh, I don't know son... what?" He said... you ready for this? hee hee hee "Santa Claus walking backward!" HA HA HA HA HA I love him... he's so funny

Hey Flopsie, hey Ducky,
Yep, we have to keep thinking tomorrow will be better.  Flop, am sharing the horrid day with you.  Things do not go as planned.
I sure hope the surgeon fixes this problem ASAP!  Good thing you went and had it checked!
Hanging in there best I can.  My thoughts are with you!
Keeping my fingers crossed that things will be better tomorrow.  What a lousy day.
Here's to better ones.

If you are in pain and the surgery was botched, you have to go through it Flopsie... I know you don't like that answer, but it's the only thing to do.. Lord knows I have had my share of surgeries and still have a bunch more to go through, but just keep in mind, they are to fix what is wrong... Hang in there, He will steer you in the right direction, He always does... Good luck to you and let us know what happens - Duck

cool  Good moanin'/afternoon,

It's like summer time out today!
Finally got that walk in this morning.  Felt good to walk for a bit.
Although...felt kinda like a swollen sausage; the pred is making me retain water.  So I feel a bit squishy.

Hopefully it'll be a good hair day & that will make up for it!
Have a happy day

Hey Flopsie -

Glad the pressure is getting better for you, but I am glad that you are going on Thursday to see the dr. No, I haven't found out why I'm getting so many UTIs. I have to wait 2 weeks after I am done taking the antibiotics before I can have more lab work done. I just finished taking the Tequin yesterday. I am starting to feel better, but still have the back/flank pain. I am off work this week and my hubby will be out of town.. my kids are going to be with their dad, so I will be all alone. Not real sure how I'm gonna like that or not. Hhhhmmm....

Losing weight... HA HA HA HA HA you're a funny lady! :) Thanks to being sick for the past 3 weeks, I haven't lost a thing... haven't been to the gym in 3 weeks either... I do plan on going back this week though... gonna try and step it up a bit, and see how I do.... we'll see... how are you doing with your diet? I've seen been eating healthy, and not drinking anything but green tea and water, but have just maintained the weight... I hope you're having better luck than me! :)

Good moanin' is right.
Hey Flopsie, way to go on your discipline regarding your diet.  That's amazing what it did for your blood sugar!
Ducky, I hope the UTI gets better & better each day, and hopefully they will find out what the heck is causing all of these problems.  I mean, you've suffered enough already for cryin' out loud...
                            watch out Ducky's docs....

Team Healingwell will be knocking at your door.

don't make us have to kick your butts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
tongue   tongue yeah yeah yeah tongue tongue
:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

That's for you Ducky!  I'm just remembering all the times you & Flopsie & Camama always said that when my docs and health and all were on the fritz..."You docs better fix er' or else we're a comin' ! "...tee hee hee; the gesture always made me feel better...our own private little army.

This weekend was soso.  Saturday was way better than yesterday.  Elbows are ridiculous as well as the knees and I can't lift my left leg up (to like go up stairs), so that hip is out. eyes Today is really bad too.  At least I got a few hours of semi-good living saturday and was able to enjoy some time with my honey.

I'm getting really frustrated though with my progress.  Been on Humira since august, and there is no improvement at all yet.  I still cannot walk/stand too long.  Sitting, writing and hands are still bad and everyday there is still moderate to severe pain.  Not at all happy with the way things are working.

So next step is Remicade.  My GI suggested it, the rheummy said to talk it over with the GI & the 2 of them will work together to get me approved for the Remicade.  I really want a life, at least for a little bit...and if Remicade has a shot at getting me there, then I'm ready to get going already!!!!!!!!

Hi All! :-)

I am back. Returned this afternoon. Will be gone again this weekend, but you have me for a few days!

Our trip to Death Valley was fun. We had awesome weather. I have returned home with a horrid cold....I hope it stays at "cold" status and is gone by Saturday - I have to make it to sister's bridal shower this weekned.....don't want to miss......can't get on plane when you can't breathe!

Flopsie, I'm so sorry to hear about your eye surgery issue. I hope that is being well taken care of. That is such a horrible thing to go through! Congrats on the 19lb loss - I decided on Friday (hubby's birthday) that my "silent" gift to him/us will be that next year on his bday I will not be this over weight and hopefully at my goal. How I will do this, I do not know since I've botched this year's attempt to make that goal.

Ducky and Erin, I hope you are feeling much better. Ducky, I hope they get those UTI's under control. Sadly, it sounds like you will have to cut everything out for a while - sugars, caffine, etc. Add lots of water, etc.

Will have to tell my kids those jokes. **

Thanks! :-)

Well, Death Valley, if you haven't heard (tee hee) is a desert....a big BIG desert. Lots of sand. Some tumbleweeds. Joshua trees here and there.  A few of the famous California rolling hills...only these are just made out of boulders and hard sand.

Actually, I did have a good time. The weather was perfect. It is not all a vast empty land like you might imagine. We mainly camped, but took some roads (have to use 4WD) to see some old mines and cabins. It is quite interesting and we did hit various elevations which had some curious vegatation.

One cabin we saw was the Manson Family cabin - and though the name and history of those who lived there is disturbing, it is quite amazing how resourceful these people were for the day an age. It was the most intricate of all the cabins - possibly because it was one of the more recently used ones? I don't know. But, they created gardens and irrigation with drip systems throughout their area. Built a pool and (what I think) are add ons to the cabin to enlarge it. Possibly these items were already intact when they lived there and they just improved or renovated them.....I really don't know.

Missed you all....glad to "talk" with you all again!

Flopsie, it is 9:40am here in Ontario. So should be what? about 8:40 where you are (or are you 2 hours behind me and it is 7:40?) I am saying prayers for you right now. I am praying for strength for you and calmness and precision for the Dr. God is watching over you and holding you in His hand.

Flopsie, you say you are craving something sweet? Do you guys have the Coke Zero or the diet sprite zero down there? It is no sugar, no calorie pop. I know sounds disgusting, but it is pop and it actually tastes alot better then plain diet coke. I buy it for my kids so they don't get all the extra calories but can still have a glass of pop. You could also go out and buy the sugar free gummy bears. They are actaully pretty good and there wouldn't be the extra sugar content when you eat them. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy for you that you have lost all that weight. I am so proud of you for sticking to your diet. I think that is so awesome. Keep up the great job. I am behind you 100%. Yeah Flopsie!!!!!!!!!

Oreo
God will never give us more then we can handle, I just wish that God didn't trust me so much.

sad
oh pooh, well boy did i catch somethin' and fast!  felt fine yesterday (well, fine as can be)  and today fever, swollen glands & chills & rash.
if it weren't for the rash i would have just self treated with some high fueled garlic power tonite. LOL.  but since my wbc's are way low & there was this speckled red dotty rash, i went to the medi clinic.
on augmentin now.  hurts real bad, the glands.  they're treating it as a strep.
man!  there goes my weekend, had a party sunday.  maybe it'll get better. sad
geesh, go figure...when i was in the hospital having patients hack all over me, i never got sick...since i've been home, got sick!
tis the season
let's all take our vitamins, vitamin C, and do lots of handwashing...the bugs, they are a comin'. tongue

Ewww, gross Erin!   Watch out with taking those TNF blockers, it can make flu season something AWFUL for ya! I hope you feel better soon. Start carrying anti-bacterial hand stuff with you from now on...along with some lotion because when I use it all the time I get dry hands. Better yet, go buy the antibacterial lotion!  tongue

Flopsie, I'm praying today went well. Take it easy on them eyes and write when you can to let us know you are okay. I'm praying for you to have a much quicker recovery with no pain this time!

Ducky, I hope you are starting to feel better.

Oreo - we do have Coke Zero here, it's my new favorite diet drink since they "improved"  (yeah, right! Yuck!) Pepsi One. Never liked Diet Coke, but this Zero stuff rocks.

Hey all,

I'm completely clogged up & it took like an hour to get out of bed.  Hurts to move!

Camama, I know where I got this from...my honey!  Joe was sick on monday and his just broke wednesday, and I came down with it yesterday...so I know the culprit.  I should have squirted hand sanatizer all over em'.  LOL.  So whatever bug he had...it sure comes on quick and hits ya hard.

Flopsie, I'm so glad you're home.  Racoon eyes!!!  Hey, now when you go out you can say you're a professional boxer, world famous!  tee hee.  When in the summer, I went to the store a few times with my knees wrapped, people would ask,"Oh my what happenned?"  and I would say, "Oh it's nothing, I play college women's rugby & we're very good." tongue I get a kick out of it!  Makes me feel better too.  Sometimes it's just easier to lie and smile.

So I don't think I'm going anywhere this weekend. sad bummer...was going to be a nice weekend too, but I don't want to re-contaminate Joe (LOL) although I should give him back these swollen glands and clogged nose!  Oh well.
