So. Oven been seeing my rhuemy since 2014. Basically my symptoms are burning pain feeling of the tissue under my skin hurts and some times my joints feel like they want to start to hurt but they really don't but the worst pain is all on the side of my chest left side the joints and the tissue gets extremely painfull and some time I feel like there's something trying to stop me from moving my arms like they slightly get stiff them it goes away.... So my dr called me today and said that my inflammation is still high she did not say how high since I got her voice mail but she says that all of the other test are still coming back normal except for the inflammation. Said mention that she wanted to treat me for it but not methotrexate. It's like do I have an auto immune disease or not ? What condition do I have ? Super wiered all I know is something is going on even though the panels all say normal what do u guys think

She might be exploring. Some people are sero-negative and it's hard to diagnose.
At least she's willing to try something instead of sending you on.

Hi There are SO Many Different Autoimmune Diseases it is a mine field
I do think your Doctor is Looking all she can do is more tests or send you to a Rheumatologist or immunologist there is a test called a 'Whole Body Bone Scan' which will show up inflammation in effected areas
this can be a good diagnostic test, has she tested your RF (Rheumatoid Factor) ?
i'd most likely say she has , as you say "all of the other test are still coming back normal"
sometimes it even takes to re-do the blood tests as they can change depending on your body at the time
Try to stay positive and keep a good record of your symptoms as you can tell them to a specialist if you go.

RA in itself has several other disease associated with it, but they are all classified as RA.
There is a "sero negative RA", there is "Inflammatory RA". Ect...
So far from what your testing shows sounds like your dx will be "Inflammatory RA" you can google this, it is treated by an RA doctor it is classified as a RA .disease.
Hope this makes sense...
I have inflammatory RA and its painful and hard to treat. Sometimes I take pictures of my swollen joints...I'm in a bad flair right now because of the humidity and rain...
Many well wishes...
Sometimes my ra doctor gives me a steroid injection and the relief can last for 4 to 7 weeks for me, its the best help for me.
