I am looking for advice from others who have been diagnosed with RA and Lupus or just RA. Today after my visit with my rheumatologist he diagnosed me with RA which I was expecting. April of 2015 I was diagnosed with Lupus. I started with Plaquenil and have noticed some improvement. He is recommending sulfasalazine or methotrexate. I am curious to know what others have selected as both are very new to me with more possible side effects than plaquenil. His hopes is to keep me on the plaquenil as well to control the lupus. I'm quite nervous to take this next step therefore any advice or words of wisdom would be appreciated. Thank you

I have both. I take plaquinel and Leflunomide, because I'm allergic to mtx.

It really eases my symptoms. I have no side effects from either drug.
