Can a sprain cause a flare?

I'm new to the world of RA. I was diagnosed about 6 months ago but of course suspect that I have had it longer. I recently had a very minor fall. I seem to have strained or sprained my wrist. I have iced it and done all of the usual things.

That was 3 days ago. Today I woke to aches that go beyond the wrist. I have a low grade temp. Could the fall have caused an RA flare?

I am new to this world too. From what I have learned so far is anything can cause a flare. A sprain I think can since it is causing stress to you and your body. Hope it passes quick.

GERD Reflux taking Zantac
Recently low positive ana. Taking Leflunomide (arava).
Also taking Amitriptyline to prevent migraines.
