Have any of you had the vectra test done? Had it done recently and it showed severe disease activity. I kind of feel validated as I have sero negative RA. Also recently had the avise test and found out I am not metabolizing the methotrexate I have been on for three years. I am actually thrilled by this as I am in almost constant pain. Tried humira which caused an autoimmune blistering skin disease. Am now trying methotrexate injections and am praying this will help!! Am curious if anyone has any experience with these tests?

The rheumatologist I had before my current one had me take the Vectra test a couple of times and both times it said I had "moderate" disease activity, and that's while using remicade. My current doctor "doesn't believe in it" so I guess I won't be getting another one. Can you try another biologic besides Humira, like Remicade or Enbrel? If you have severe disease activity I'd think you'd need more than the methotrexate alone.
Diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2005 and rheumatoid arthritis in 1998. On Remicade since 2005 for both diseases. For UC tried sulfasalazine, Lialda, colazal and others which made me sick. Use peppermint oil capsules and Bentyl which help during a flare and with IBS symptoms, and turmeric, krill oil, and Methyl B12 daily. (Discontinued CoQ10 d/t terrible heartburn).
