Hi HunyBun,

Well, I googled the Euflexxa and went into their site. I too am interested in this new drug. My history is 4 knee surgeries on the left knee and 1 on the right knee. My last surgeries were both knees done in Sept/Oct of 04. Left knee was for a partial tear of the ACL and the right was for a torn medical meniscus. I have bad OA in both knees and dr cleaned them up inside as much as he could. After surgery, I underwent Supartz injections in both knees. This was a series of five injections in both knees over a five week period. It was rough, I will not lie.

I am now a candidate for knee replacements both knees. I am in alot of pain still, swelling, limited movement resulting in numerous falls. My ortho understands me putting off the surgery, mainly because I had so many surgeries close together I really needed to give my body a rest. In addition, I have chronic pain and was in so much pain in other areas he did not want to add to the mix at the moment.

I will keep reading up on this. My Supartz injections did not help very much. It will be interesting to see how this drug plays out. Good luck, Susie

thank you both for your reply......i will keep looking into more information on this. I know it is 3 shots and will last as long as 6 months and it in not made out of animal products. I have issues of being allergic to way too many things medicine wise so i am waiting for when i can't take it any longer....i guess! Well i am off to go home for the work day, please take care and chat with you all later :)
