Hi Ducky, I usually post on the lupus forum, but visit here once in a while because I have some arthritis due to lupus. You are welcome to post your question in the lupus forum because several members there have it - sometimes people with lupus develop secondary Sjogren's. My doctor thinks I am developing Sjogren's. I have very dry eyes and mouth and have developed tongue ulcers and my tongue is all cracked due to the dryness. Right now I have a mouth rinse that helps. I also know that there are prescription eye drops and also a pill that replace some of the moisture in the eyes and the mouth. I have read that people with Sjogren's may have dental problems and need to be really careful about not eating much sugar as well as making sure to take really good care of teeth and gums.

I hope this helps some. Take care

Diagnosis: Suspected Lupus 2004; Raynauds 2006; CFS 1991; Mono 1985           Meds: Plaquenil 400mg; Tramadol 100mg 3-4xdaily; Amitriptyline 10mg;        Neurontin 200mg; Steroid Cream and Mouth Rinse for mouth and tongue ulcers
