Ok Kia - I found this:
What are the symptoms?
The most common symptoms of Crohn’s disease are abdominal pain, often in the lower right area, and diarrhea. Rectal bleeding, weight loss, arthritis, skin problems, and fever may also occur. Bleeding may be serious and persistent, leading to anemia. Children with Crohn’s disease may suffer delayed development and stunted growth. The range and severity of symptoms varies.
It came off of this website. And this:
Peripheral arthritis is most common in people with ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease of the colon. Typically, the course of the arthritis follows that of the IBD, with flare-ups and remissions coinciding. There is no one test that can diagnose peripheral arthritis, but instead several tests including blood tests, joint fluid analysis, and x-rays are used to exclude other conditions.
That came off of another website on about.com... I would post the link here, but for some reason it won't work with this forum... anyway - Go to about.com and type in arthritis/ibd or arthritis and crohn's and it will tell you all about it. Heck, you can type in Peripheral arthritis and you should get the results you need.
Print out those webpages and take them to your hubby's doctor and see what they say. I think your hubby needs to look for a different doc. Even if you make them aware, it seems like they may not know how to treat him. Hope that helps some.. Take good care and let us know how you guys are doing!
