well not the best news not the worst..... seems my CT Scan of my lungs needs further review by a pulmonary doctor. i guess it is not as the rheumy was use to seeing RA inflammation in the lungs, but rather the report said something about i think he said "areas of density" noted in the lymph nodes of my lungs? i am not nor have i ever been a smoker, thank goodness - so i am hopeful.
at least he is not sitting on it and wants me to have a professional in that part of the body review the ctscan and decide if further testing needs to be done.... it is not inflammed currently but dense, but he told me not to worry, so i told him i would not. anyone ever go through this?
as far as the RA goes he said to give it time, so that i will do.  my favorite show is House, so i guess i will sit back see the end of idol and enjoy i think the season finally of House! til later my new friends ~
i think i would love for my new doctor to be House! lata *yalinda  :-)

Yalinda, sorry to hear that your news wasn't so good.  But perhaps it's not all that bad either.  I have not had any lung problems at all, so I can't help you there.  I think Erin does have lung issues, though.  I'm sure she can answer your questions.  As far as House is concerned, that is one interesting show--I love it!  You might think by tonight's posts that I watch tv all of the time.  Believe it or not I never watch tv, except for Idol, and occassionally House.  Oh, and I can't ignore the preschool channel or animal planet.  On Mother's day, I watched Most Extreme Animal countdown on Animal Planet with my girls.  The most extreme mother was the sea louse.  Apparently, the male sea louse captures all of the females he possibly can and keeps them captive the "Harem of Horror."  He impregnates them, and as they gestate their babies, the babies eat the mother from the inside out.  By the time babies are born, mother is no longer--no lie.  My 3-year old daughters are looking aghast at me and asked me, "Mommy, what are they doing?"  I explained that the babies were eating the mommy, and one of my daughters leaned over and kissed me and said, "Don't worry mommy, I won't eat you."

I caught House for the first time the night before a colonsocopy--it kept me laughing and got me through the prep.  It hasn't been on consistently, though, I don't think, at least on Tuesday nights?

Yalinda, I just hijacked your post.  I'm sorry; I'm in a very weird mood tonight.  It must be the painkillers.  I truly pray that the "dense" areas on your lung are either nothing, or the doctors quickly find out what they are and can adequately treat you.

Goodnight everyone,

cool  we're just a bunch of colorful folks!

in fact, i just started watching t.v. when i got real ill.  so since like 2002!  come 8pm...that phone better not ring! LOL. (i was a partyer & a gym buff...so my mum was lucky if she saw me once a week!) oh the good ole days.

hmmmm?  the density of lung on the film?  most likely is a flubb by the tech; seriously.  shadows and crap Dr.s think are cancer?...some turn out to be just movement or shadows by mistake.  so i would suggest if they are really unclear...REPEAT IT! it is worth it, it's your life & money & time. other thinkings?:  you could have a lymph node that has edema. i have em'...no biggie.  they hurt sometimes.  in the axilla area. (armpit) so in that case they monitor you via bloodwork.  worse comes to worse they biopsie it.  no bigie, anything is better than a spinal tap! devil

i had weird stuff show up.  all RA related.  an atrophied diaphragm; emphysema; plus inflammation around the pleural cavity.  it all stinks and makes exertion EXHAUSTING! get out of breath quick.

the costochondritis (although not IN the lung directly) is the worst pain, hate it!

i wish you gals a good evening.  i wouldn't worry too much about it because i wouldn't take anything to heart if i's a lame film!  i would want it re-done if they are questioning it.  just my strong opinion. and after a good film...then ya worry! oy!

here's to some good sleep@

:-)  i am not going to worry to much, but as for the repeat i dont thnk it is a mistake... the darn thing first showed up in an xray so we went to the ctscan so i know they are there i just do not know what they are.....
and i am going to plan on it coming out old inflammation if there could be such a thing? like scar tissue.  my rheumy didnt say that but i have a history of some wicked chest colds the last few years.  i am calling my GP today also as i have had chest xrays for these wicked colds and i think they were always neg xrays but i want to make cetain.
my hubby is the one who should be seeing a pulmonary guy.  i have been telling him to for years as he weezes all the time.  esp winters.
well what ever ....  hope everyone has a great day and thanks for the support.  i probably wont get to the end of this chapter for a bit.  i still need to get the referral, blah blah blah..... lata  ~*yalinda
