i talked to my doc about what i can do naturally to help in with my liver and he told me lemon juice ( real stuff not the stuff in the fake containers) squeezed in warm water will help to clean out the liver everyday.
i always order water with lemon in it to drink at resturants and make sure i squeeze it or even suck on the lemon it works!!!

That's cool!

I also read that if you drink 8oz of water (didn't have to be warmed though, at least that I read) and squeeded a lemon, or lime, or orange in it - first thing in the morning before you eat (wait 15 minutes before you eat) - it actually helps your liver get going for the day.

Can I ask what kind of doctor told you that? I've asked what I can do and no one has offered any suggestions (I finally turned to books and internet.)  My gastro even said ( and boy, talk about old school) "there is nothing about diet that helps your liver other than you loosing weight" - come on, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to hear the flaws in that comment!

Hi,

One of the best things I take for my liver is PHOPHATIDYL CHOLINE/LECITHIN

Try to get the strongest one they have in health food store.

Also milk thistle and wheatgrass.  If you can find a health food store that  juices wheat grass it is very powerful.

Also another great detox for liver is coffee enemas.  Use lite roasted organic coffee.  If you type in liver cancer and coffee enemas you will find plenty of sites.  you may or may not be making a face right now but read up on it and

let me know if you find any BAD write ups on it.  There are Doctors on the web that reccomend it.  Ralph Moss, Dr Kelly, Dr Gonzales.

good luck ... make sure you are breathing clean air.  Liver is your air filter also.

I have been told by the chiropractor that a good detox is a 8 ounce glass of water half of a real lemon and a tablespoon of baking soda.

I've only had the water with either fresh lemon or orange sqeezed in it. Not bad, not great (needs sugar or more flavoring! HA! tongue ) but, I haven't tried it w/anything else in it.
