Hi Friends,
I had my CT Scan today of my sinuses. They said that the results would be fowarded to my DR today. I am on edge waiting for the results. The swelling in my face has gone down alot, but the lump in my nose seems to be getting bigger. I am not sure why. I thought that when the swelling went down in my face the lump would decrease as well. But it seems to be spreading through the upper part of my lip. I am hoping that the antibiotic (Cipro) that I am taking will eventually take care of the lump as well. I will definetely let you all know as soon as I find out something. I am getting a feeling of being disconnected once in awile. It lasts for a short period of time but it worries me. Waiting for answers is the hardest thing in the world.

Dear Andrea,

The wait game is the worst part.  Not only is the initial treatment time through the "OK when is this going to start to get better time" rough...it causes alot of anxiety and frustration as well.

CIPRO is a powerful antibiotic & should take care of the culprit.  And if not? Another round of another antibiotics like it.

Could be that the facial swelling went down, but now it's making the main area of infection look even bigger!

Did the doc mention anything about warm or cool compresses for comfort?

Hoping this clears up. Please keep us posted. How is it now?

Sincerely,

erin
