I'm visiting from the crohn's board and have a question about arthritis. I don't know that I have it, but my mom broke her leg years ago at the knee and had to have surgery, etc. Ever since then she has been sensitive to weather changes as she has developed arthritis in that leg. She is 77 yrs. old.
Anyway, she's been doing pretty well except the past few weeks she has been eating tomatoes. She loves them and normally doesn't eat many. But tis the season and she adores them now. And her arthritic knee has really been bothering her. Granted there has been some weather changes happening, but it doesn't usually bother her like she is being bothered at this time. Could it be the tomatoes? I had heard that they can upset arthritis, but never knew if it was true or not.
Anybody know? Like before I may have to break the news to her that she cannot sustain herself on her beloved tomatoes anymore? Thanks!
