It has been a long time since I have posted. I am now on 10mg predizone, Mtrexate 1cc, folic acid, thyrid meds, pain killers and ulcer meds. I have had RA for over 5 yrs I can walk now, does it ever get better?
I am trying to go back to work but only last a few weeks till the flair gets so severe I cant get out of bed.  Very depressing I guess I still want to work but I get so tired and every thing hurts.  I have RA in every joint of my body, any ideas on how I can manage to get to christmas?
Or have I really lost my mind by trying to work?

hi chevy,
no your not crazy to want to work, well maybe you are hehehehehehe.... naw as much as i hate getting up all stiff and getting the move on it i think i would miss working? it doesnt sound like you are at a place yet that you can go to work if you have such difficulty getting out of bed...... maybe you could start a non work routine first and see how your body responds to it? how often do u see your md? maybe it is time to re-evaluate the meds to accomadate a more active lifestyle if that is what you want?

if christmas is what you need to get through pace yourself and dont plan huge things.... remember the reason for the season... it is not about hussel and bussel........i know the best christmas i ever had as a child was the one where my dad had a heartattack..... now dont get me wrong here but for the first time as a kid i got my priorities right..... it wasnt about the gifts and wrapping paper or the tree lights.... it was about life and the gift of life... ok yalin get off the soap box i know......sry but it was lifechanging for me......

also in regards to working......
i think there are a lot of people who can work with RA and a lot who cant.... our bodies are all at different stages so no you havent lost your mind .... you searching for something to do..... it may not be a traditional job... you may have other gifts or talents

good luck with everything and i hope the flare up settles down soon ~*yalinda

Hey you are not crazy at all.  I love my job and know that every time I go to work I am going to pay a price for going.  If you do what yalinda said and pace yourself your gonna make it through no problem.  And how true is that to remember what its all about and not the hussle and bussle.
