Dr gave me a cortisone shot 2 days ago and I'm sitting here and realized I haven't had my usual diarhea at least 3 times a day today. Do you think it's related???

Probably. I seem to recall a few people here saying that prednisone helps with their chron's and inflammation of the bowels. So, I'm guessing it helped your situation. Yeah!

Maybe you actually have IBD and not IBS like alot of other people? I stopped being amazed by how many people are diagnosed with IBS only to be diagnosed with IBD years later. You don't have to bleed to have IBD.

You seem to have the arthritis too... I would get it checked out.

Hospitalized with Infectious Colitis.
Colonscopy showed ulcers.Diagnose changed to either UC or Crohn's
Whatever it is, I was told its mild...
Medication Asacol 1x3
Never had a good follow up - no small bowel test at all.
Gastroscopy was normal, but Still have a burning feeling in my stomach.
Looking for a doctor in Oslo who knows what he's doing atm.

I guess I should read up on IBD. I had a colonoscopy this year and had 4 polyps removed. Do you get bright yellow burny diarhea with IBD?
I still haven't 'run' today. I'm doing a happy dance!
I baked a pound cake. Ya'll want some?
:)
And yep, definitely have arthritis, especially in my neck...
I am listing symptoms/test results cuz my Dr is still trying to figure out exactly what's going on with me. If any of this rings a bell with you, email me at daisyhen at msn dot com.

OH NO! Burny???????? that ring of fire, LOL, i agree it to be a real pain in the a**. personal testimony: yes, i've confirmed IBD (Crohns & major small bowel damage) and YES, yellow it was...i prefer any other color actually. even a terracota shade will do....anything but yellow. that one seems to scorch the most.

HAHAHA, Erin! Yep, the scorching scoots!!!

I have also had 2...count it, T W O, normal, formed BM's the past 2 days since that cortisone shot last week!!!!!!! I know if any one would have seen me be so proud and grinning at the toity, they'd have called the guys in white coats on me!

When I was at the Dr yesterday for my nerve test results, I told Dr and he said oh oh, that means you have inflamation in there, I need to run more tests. Well, duh! I've only had the scorchers for years now! Good grief. He gets freaked now that I have a normal one??? OK.

Anyway, the traction thing he got me to use for my neck isn't going to work for me...I had it on 5 minutes and got major skull pain and thought I was going to pass out. I laid down on the sofa and was dizzy/nauseous for an hour. So that nerve is just going to stay pinched for now.
*sigh*

I just go to my PCP. I'm Dr phobic and whenever he transfers me out to see anyone else, it doesn't go well. :/
But he is very talented. His name is Subash Sahai and the Sahai's are pretty famous around here. I think you can find articles on them if you google the name. :)
Surgery? Only as a last resort. ;)

Well, will wonders ever cease??? My ulcer has quit hurting and flaring...and I ran out of Nexxium 3 days ago! Very weird, all because of the cortisone shot?????

Started PT on the neck today. Gave me a headache that is just now gone, 9 hrs later. And my neck still hurts/burns. Ew. I'm supposed to go 3 times a week. I hope I can handle it.

One bit of good news though. The apartment manager came over today and they are letting me have one of the new handicap apartments!!!! WooHoo! This means I'll never have to move again. AND it's a 3 bedroom, so we'll have more room. Always a plus with twin boys. And my rent will only go up about $30 a month. I can SO live happily with this developement. :)
