Hey everyone,

I haven't posted on here for a long time I spend most of my time over on the Crohns Disease board. I have a question- does anyone here use Hylauronic acid for joints? I have heard some different reports on this recently but I dont know much about it aand its effectiveness. I have had a lot of pain in my joints this winter- it is horrible.. (I have some kind of inflammatory arthritis that flares sometimes esp. in winter)

If you have some experience with this could you please let me know either positive or negative?

Thanks

Casey

Curley- I think I am going to order some Hylauronic acid in a health store or something just to try it out- I am getting pretty desparate. I have troubles typing sometmes too - my hands dont get as bad as my ankles and knees though (and my right shoulder always hurts like crazy)

I am starting Remicade on the 8th so that might help... my rhuemy says it should definitely help. Then maybe I can get off of the methadone again.

I will let you know about the H.A.

Hey D,

Let us know on the Crohn's forum if hyaluronic acid does anything for your arthritis. I came here today for the first time since I was searching for any feedback on glucosamine sulfate. I would have thought there would be something, but my search has been futile.

My arthritis is at times the worst part of my disease.
47 yr. old with ileocolitis.  CD since early teens, misdiagnosed until age 36.  Hemicolectomy-left side in 2001.  Disease returned in 2003. Arthritis, episcleritis, chronic pain due to surgeries (nerve damage, adhesions) and disease.
