Well, heck. I thought I'd gotten a leak in my waterbed, but it turns out I peed the bed. I never had any bladder probs before. I went to the Dr today and he said it's bladder spasm. I guess everything else in me spasms, so why not the bladder, huh? Yay. So now I wear a stayfree to bed. ARRRRRRRRRG. sad
I am listing symptoms/test results cuz my Dr is still trying to figure out exactly what's going on with me. If any of this rings a bell with you, email me at daisyhen at msn dot com.

WOW! So, any idea of what is causing this? The arthritis, the medication, or an infection/virus?

I'm so sorry you have to deal with this. I'm hearing more and more about these types of things happening suddenly - kind of spooky. Keep us up to date on how you're doing.

I get muscle spasms all over my body. I guess this is just one more. He said unless it happens a lot to not worry about it, but hey! He's not the one having to do the laundry or wear a granny rag to bed. Ack.

That's a really good suggestion, Yalinda.

Yeah, I wouldn't be too happy with the "don't worry about it" answer as well....not a fun situation. I remember I had a 3 year string of UTI issues, and I started having the same problem while sleeping. Not fun to wake up in the middle of the night and have to change everything (aside from the frustration of it happening in the first place!)

I'd definitely follow Yalinda's suggestion and hold off on any liquids a few hours before bedtime. It may help.

good luck.

I haven't done it since that one time. I bet you're right. I just finally got to sleep and my bladder was still awake, lol!

I've always wanted to go to Niagara. LOL

It does happen.  I am afraid that I will end up doing it.  I can not get out of bed with out my husband.  My back is either to stiff or it locks up, and he has to physically set me up. redface

Savvy, I too, have peed in my sleep, but it was just a small amount. But no matter what amount it does upset you. I am 53 years old and I weas more pads now, that I ever did when I had periods.

I noticed you have muscle spasms too.  Thank GOD someone else does! sad I don't mean light of it, but I can't get anyone to understaand about the spasms. I get them mainly in my ribs. They started after I had the Nissan Wrap surgery for my GERD/Acid Reflux.  The muscle will actually rise up and you can see it happen. one dr. says just do some strenghting exercises and hold your arm ouver your head. Wellm darn, it isn't him having the spasms!!! I can't take any of the statins becasue they give me EXTREME muscle spasms in my legs. When I get the ones in my rib area you are parlizied (sp) with pain and can't move until the spasm lets go. sad Does your dr. have any suggestions of how to prevent the spasms or how to treat them?

Now I am facing more stress fractures. I know I have another in my left foot. They did a CT scan on my back Christmas Day and no fractures in my lower back. He did more x-rays today, no fracture in my lower back. He just repaired T-12 o the 20th of Dec.  My pain stays at a 9--10 and even the new 50 MG fentayl patch is not helping.  He is going to do a radio frequency albationn on the 17th. But I can't find out any information about the procedure other than for hearts.

Did't mean to write a book, but needed to vent, I guess.  The last 3 weeks have been an almost hell.  Then on top of everything, my mom is facing another back surgery in the morning. She had surgery about 3 months ago and did excellent, but now she has ruptured another disk and she can't walk and is in terrible pain. They got to see the nerousurgeon today and he sent her straight to the hospital for surgery.  When it rains it pours.

Time to go back to bed and hope to get some comfortable position and get some sleep.  I hope all of everyone's pain goes away soon. I pray for that for all of us. J:)

Oh boy, I get them everywhere, but mostly in my legs, back and left arm. The best thing I took for it was methobarbamol, but it freaked out my ulcers. So now I use rubs and heat, but still suffer a lot. It's horrible, horrible, horrible. sad

Sorry you've been plagued and having a hard time. You'd think that since they can do sex change operations and all, they could do something about PAIN! confused

But I'm not going to get started on that as then I get all sorts of teed off thinking about it. Oh boy.
