I woke up this morning feeling rotten.  I'd spent the last week bloated with tons of intestinal pain.  My neck was stiff, my head hurt, my muscles felt like someone pounded them with a meat tenderizer.  I think I've had a total of 6 hrs. sleep in the last 7 days.  Not good.  I felt like jumping into a pit and pulling the earth over me.
I'd given up on finding out what was wrong.  The doctors were done with me.  They referred me to mental health.  I insisted on a referral to Rheumatology.  I almost didn't go today.  I was of the mind set the doctor would send me away and tell me "there's nothing wrong with you."
But, I did go, and I'm glad I did.  I found a doctor who, after listening to my medical history, complaints and a short physical exam gave me a diagnosis.
So, there you have it.
Now it's time to heal.....and do some research.

Yes, a diagnosis was a relief.
Now what?  It looks like there isn't treatment for fibro, with the exception of pain mangement.
A friend of mine says she has fibromyalgia (she was diagnosed by a herbalist, I would question a diagnosis by an herbalist) swears that removing citrus and gluten from her diet has cured her of fibro.  I asked my rhuemy about this, she said there aren't any studies to support that.
Yesterday was a pretty good day.  Today was not.  I wanted to fall alseep standing up.
