Hey istone - I went to a Urologist and apparently I am just one of those people that are "susceptible" to UTIs due to my body make up (and probably the Enbrel) I am supposed to take a low dose anti-biotic daily to help with the UTIs. Hope this helps for you! Can you get in to see a Urologist? Since I have been on the low-dose of anti-biotics (again daily) I haven't had any problems..

When I do get UTIs they said that it is a type of bacteria.. the anti-biotic I take is Nitrofurantoin (Macrobid) I take 100mg a day

Dear Isotone...

I have a freind that also has bad recurrent UTI's...what she does is drink plenty of fluids, more than the norm..soo for example, if you drink 64oz of water, try drinking 72oz of water...

Next try taking Cranberry supplements, that will help as a natuaral preventive, but becareful, taking to much cranberry pills can mask an infection, soo you can buy those kits that test you for UTI at home test kits....

and avoid anything with alchohol, depending on the sensitivity of your body..for instance my freind when ever she drinks a few glasses of wine, automatically she comes down with a bad case of a UTI..Now she is better, and her UTI's are more in controll....

hope this helps.
