Hi everyone,
I'm scheduled to have my loading dose of Humira this week and am wondering how long it will take until I feel some improvement. My joints are flaring so badly that I am not sleeping at all and I'm just about at wits end. I'm hoping that you all will tell me that it kicks in quickly.
Thanks for any info you can share. Be well.

Hey Keah,

When I started Humira 40mg weekly...I got nowhere until about the 4 injection. Eased the joint pain along with my other meds. Then I increased the dose to 80mg each week & that worked even better.
It seems that Enbrel, Humira & Remicade have all helped my GI (Crohns) problems more than my darn joints! Which stinks because the RA joint pain is what's disabling. Aaaargh!
But the Humira did work quicker than Enbrel for me if I recall correctly.
Good luck to you!

Thanks Erin. It took about 3 months before I saw any real improvement on Enbrel, but I also had terrible muscle pain then as a result of undiagnosed thyroid failure. Now, my guts aren't happy, but they are the least of my concerns. I just can't live with my joints this way and am almost desperate for quick relief. I think I'll be talking to the Rheumy about some pred to hold me over until the Humira kicks in.
