Hello everyone,
I sure hope you all are in not too much pain. I have had my seventh enbrel injection as of yesterday. I get pretty tired the day I take it and sort of feel like I have some what of the flu, but hey no big deal. I had the best day of my whole life Saturday. I didn't want to say anything to anyone just incase I got my butt kicked, but...I am not all the way there by any means but I sure feel a difference. I have been in so much pain for so long I forgot what it feels like to have so much less pain. Now I am working on getting some sleep. I have been sleep deprived for months, a few hours of sleep a night(some nights none) for months, It kind of makes you go nutts. It has done a number on my brain. Alot of mood swings, anger, aggitation, major brain fog, and so much more. So my reg. P prescribed Ambien 10mgs for me..I sure hope it works. Because I want to believe I am on the road to recovery or out of this nasty flare I have been having....Thank you all for being there for me when I was so sick...
Many Blessings to you all,
Lori

Thanks Lori for the hope! I have had 2 injections and your post keeps me trying. The day after is really bad but I can just stay in bed all day if I have to. So glad to hear you are feeling better!

AkiPuppy,
Thank you for your prayers. I still feel like I am going in the right direction.

Ducky,
No I haven't taken Ambien before. I did keep waking up quite a bit through the night but I am not to tolerant to many meds. I will continue to take it and see how it goes. I really think I am getting relief after 5 years of non stop pain. So now I can do things I haven't been able to do. I was so excited I started to paint. Washed walls. Of course being very careful. I don't want to go backwards.
Thanks

Shaleygirl,
Thank you,
I'll I can tell you is to hang in there and don't give up. I had to quit taking the enbrel twice because I was having bad infections (before the enbrel) I just didn't know that I had them. But that went on for about 5-6 rounds of antibiotics. And I had other complications too. So actually I had to wait almost a year to start my treatment. If you read my signature you will know how sick I was and now I feel like the enbrel has given me some of my life back. My husband bought me a quad for my birthday in Sept. and I never got to ride it until now. It was a short, but great ride. I know I don't want to get too excited but really I am feeling so much better. I too pretty much have to lay down after my shot but it will be rewarding...I have two sisters that have been on enbrel for years and they are doing remarkably well. I wish for the best for you. I didn't think anything would help me as sick as I was. But I was wrong. Patience truly is a vurtue.(Spelling)
Bless you,
Lori

Don't give up!
And even if one should fail...there ARE more options.
Never throw in the towel...that's probably the worst thing we could do.
