My husband was diagnosed with PA about 6 weeks ago. We went for another check up yest. and his Reumatologist increased his dose of MTX. I am scared to death because we have 3 young children and I am currently a stay at home mom, by choice. I guess what I am trying to ask is what should I expect of this disease. I have done a lot of research on the net and what I see is discouraging. I would like input from people who are actully dealing with this disease. Thank you soooooo much for any help that you can give. sad

Hey there misdavison! Welcome to healing well.. sorry it has to be under these circumstances.. How long has your husband had these symptoms? Is his psoriasis bad? Did the rheumy talk about maybe putting him on Enbrel? I have PA. I was diagnosed in March of 2005. I am in the Air Force, I work on airplanes.. I am a mother of 3 children, ages 10, 9 and 8 and I am married to a wonderful man.. What I am trying to say is this.. I too thought once I got diagnosed, my world, as I knew it, was over.. but I have learned that it isn't over, it's just changed a bit.. I think it is great that you are taking such an interest in this with your hubby.. hang in there, we will get you through this..
