Well I'm home and I made it! I was able to make the whole journey. My ankles are a little swollen but who cares! The trip was great. I did not win any money but I don't gamble much anyway. I also gained 5 pounds, food, food, food....There were 75,000 people according to the local news. I saw quite a few women on bikes. It was soooooo much fun, a dream come true. I even stayed in a haunted motel room on the way back woooooooo scaaaaary. I took everyone of you with me and was happy to get back to my computer. I now feel like I can make plans for future trips. Thank you all.................

Congrat's on making and surviving your trip. Sounds like you thoroughly enjoyed yourself! I do hope you took pictures that you can share! If swollen ankles are all you brought back with you (arthritis wise), then WOO HOO!!!! What was the name of the motel and where was it? Maybe I'll take my hubby there someday!

I can't tell you how thrilled I am for you. Thanks so much for sharing and for the update. Glad you got home safe.

The trip was great and the ride was beautiful. The motel was at the junction of Hwy 99 and 46. It was one of those truck stop junctions with gas stations a cafe and a cheap motel Days Inn (who cares when you are exhausted. We were the only people in the motel and she gave us the farthest back room Woooooo Hoooooo. We both had a expieriance and later told each other Wooooo Hoooo. Makes a good family story. I am so happy to have something good to share with you.

Woo-hoo! Diva! So happy for you! When's your next trip? As Sherree said, if all you brought back was swollen ankles, then you're doing GREAT!

Are you going to a event in Oregon? We live in Oregon. It is a wonderful place to ride in the late spring, summer and early fall. lots of rain otherwise. Where I live you can be at the beach, mountains or desert within 2 hours. Will you be riding here with a group? We are thinking of going to Sturgis this summer. We haven't ever been. It might be aliittle to wild for me but I would like to go once anyway. We usuallly travel with small groups or by ourselves. Let me know if you need any info we have been many places here.

I will be riding with a couple of friends. I sent for one of those visitor packages so i could drool over a few of the places. Sturgis will be a mad house. It is too much for me alot of traffic. Lots of drinkers. That was the problem with this event too many people zipping around you on the road. I was going 70 and people were passing me on the right and left like I was standing still. It is still an adventure. If you go to Sturgis take a few extra days and get there early and leave after all the madness passes, nothing like it though. I don't think I will get to Oregon until next year. When is a good time when I won't have to worry about rain? Do you have any motorcycle events in Oregon that I should know about?

Well here it is.......Don't be toooooo scared. We checked into this cheap motel at the intersection of the highways 46and 5 (according to my husband who knows these things). We were the only people in the motel and after a conversation with a rough looking man the girl gave us the farthest room in the back. The place seemed very shadey and I was worried I was being set up to have my bike stolen. My husband chained the bikes together and set a motion detector that I brought with me. The room was clean but there was something disturbing about it that I could not put my finger on. I took a long shower and went to bed. It was late and we were exhausted. During the night I felt a hand clamp around my left ankle and pull on my leg. I woke up with a start and saw my husband sleeping soundly. It did not feel evil but I knew it was a man the grasp was firm and aggressive feeling like it was trying to wake me up. I eventually went back to sleep. In the morning I woke up with a start sat up in bed and told my husband the room was haunted. He looked shocked and said that when he went to look out of the window while I was in the shower he felt someone clap him on the back of the shoulder hard and did not want to tell me. He said it was like someone wanting to get his attention. He said he was sure the room was haunted but did not want to say anything and worry me. In all the many years I have known him he has never belived in spirits or hauntings. When I was ready to leave I had a talk with the ghost and told him not to spend eternity in a cheap motel. I told him to move on and be at peace. I left him a few flowers. Very wierd.....

ok, no way could i have stayed! i would have woke up hubby checked every nook and cranny and then freaked myself out so badly and left! lol oh i think wet myself would have come somewhere in the early stages teehee.

you obviously didnt see the movie vacancy before u checked in...... lol any low-budget slasher movies on TV and suddenly u realize that the horrifying images u see were recorded in the room in which u are staying. lol i tried to paste the poster of the movie on this post but was unsuccessful lol

all jk'ing aside, what u did was very nice talking to him and leaving the flowers. maybe one of the nicest things anyone ever did for that soul? thanks for sharing :) yalinda
