This is TOO Exciting. I am opening the thread...Good Moaning starlets I say hello we twinkle above, we twinkle below. Good Moaning everybody Joan says hello...my friends and me as we sing our moans.

This is serious and I am going to try one patch at night and one in the morning. I can no longer deal with the pain. sad sad

Erin...dis bum iz from Broolyn..........is there anyplace better to be born in???????????? devil

We have snow in the Albanian section of the southern tier of the Empire State of New York in the GREAT northeast. The roads were slick so I did wash and fell asleep. I also read three pages of a book.

I have post shingles pain on my spine...it is worse for me than the regular shingles in my groin. Would like to actually do something someday soon. This hanging around makes me nuttier than usual. I did go swimming yesterday evening and that was ok. We have a pool around 15 minutes from my little town.

Peace on gang... eyes eyes eyes

sad  hey ya'll
yally...no i have not a PARASITE! lol...it's an actual fungal infection.  they just call it "ring worm" b/c its a circle and it sorta looks like a worm.
i am very concerned, very stressed.  i had a severe allergic reaction to the fungizide + betamethazone cream that was RX'd for it.
felt like the worst sunburn EVER.
this new doc yesterday wasn't any good for me.
he says i'm too complex & that's not the sort of pt. they treat there. (it's just a clinic)...so, i cango if i have swollen glands & fever; he can write me for antibiotics; he said they're not allowed to do the chronic pain management.
he didn't doblood work, he didn't take my temp, i wasn't weighed....he doesn't admit or discharge fom the hospital, he doesn't do rounds at the hospital; he's there only 2 times a week.
this clinic really just sees stuff like diabetes & high BP pt's.  what a waste.

so now this fungal infection is spreading to my left leg, it looks awful.
truth is, i am scared; i'm severely immunesuppressed and a fungal infection is no friend to a compromised pt.

i want my old dr. back.

joe's going to talk to one of the docs he works with tomorrow & get an opinion.

i'm just scared that this fungus can spread into the lungs.

and it sucks badly that i don't have someone that i can call & get checked & treated right away that knows what's going on with me.  my JZ is great but i need a primary doc.

moanin everyone,........ and a moanin it is...........
erin sweetie, i am sorry i made light of your situation, just thought if we had fun with naming your"fungus" we could erase som e of the concerns and smile a bit? but i guess this is serious so i will doff my silly hat and donn my grown up one....... i do hope you find a doc soon? this is crazy. but then our health care is for the healthy and strong. i wont go there........
ducky, you and me both. i am in so much discomfort and pain and there is so much to do for the holidays and i want to do none of it! just dont feel like it. my arms and fingers and shoulders are just screaming at me......

i am gonna try loritab. does that work for anyone????? i dont think i can function to well at the pace i was and work standards are so high for productivity. moan moan moan

my daughter is suppose to fly home tonight but with the storm in boston and here i dont know if she will catch her flight????? and a huge huge storm is due here saturday with a possible 2 foot dump in just a few hour span. if that happens .....ugh. i ran the snowblower last night myself, which it mainly does it all by itself i dont push or anything but i had to grip the controls and i wanted to scream...... i couldnt quit cuz my neighbors would have wondered why i did and i dont like my daughter using such mega heavy equipment so i just moaned real loud in my heart and pushed with my palms instead of gripping. the OT in me always looking for another way to do a task! my hubby was so concerned and upset with me when he found out i did it with all my joint pain...... sweet man. hopefully he will be around all weekend to do it so i dont have to......

jody how you feeling? did you take the shot??? how did it go?

joan, i wore my patches from midnight til noon when i did to cover a bit of day and night time.

bear???????? you too busy? i never did get an email from you to discount my inspirational message to you? i do so value your opinion?

raven, how you doing? this next storm we are getting isnt coming from canada. it is brewing in texas.

boo how is the SIL doing? the weather? i heard you might get a thaw... you did make our news up here oklahoma in an ice sotrm trees spilt right down the middle! thought of you my friend.... email me photos if you have any?

bloo, camama, el you are all too too too wuiet lately? i do miss you when you dont post! actually i know there are others i miss like harley and dave and craig and even my hawaii person who was around only a short spell? too bad i wanted to have a friend in hawaii to visit! now that would be a great place to meet! i would kill to be on a warm beach right now.... oh thats right half of you are! 80 and sunny... bah humbug!

well enough said. speaking of bah humbug who is the scrooge that took away all my fun threads to ducky???? i dont think it was you duck cuz you would have apologized for having to delete them so i am guessing it is a less happy person who lacks humor?! my remedy for that is go get ................. and ice cream : p

Hi, yally thanks for your imput. Midnight is very late for me...unless I am visiting "the jane" and I never look at the time then. Noticed today that it kind of stopped working around 4 pm. I put it on around 8 am.........slept in usually I am up before 7 am. ... so that is 8 hours of effectiveness. Will put one on right before bedtime...usually around 10 pm. Have to take a 75 mg of lyrica before I go to sleep. Hope new plan works for me.

Got out and shopped today. Watered plants and need to make up my bed now. I am really tired from this thing. So long gang.

Erin, did you think to look up ringworm on internet and also the creme you were given. Hope you get a better doc soon.

PEACE ON

G'moanin', All! This is my very favorite kind of day. No work, coffee at the computer with my friends.
Went to see SIL last night after work (in the rain during rush hour in the Big City). I wasn't driving but I was a wreck by the time we got there. Hubby is an excellent and (most of the time) careful driver. But it still drives me nuts. SIL and daughter are in good spirits and he looks amazing. Was walking a little. Hopeful for the future.
It's going to take me a full day of doing nothing just from going up there after work instead of straight to bed. Anyone relate?
Snow was expected last night 2-4 inches. Haven't seen any yet. Quite a few folks still don't have their power back on. It got down into the '20's last night. I'm so very grateful to have heat!
Still need a couple more Christmas presents to be done with it. We will be keeping the two grands next weekend as the recovering daddy will not be able to make the trip to Tulsa for a gathering. Our grandson is borderline autistic so it will be an unbelievably exhausting couple of days.
Back at ya later. I'm already tired just thinking about it.

Yally....I am surprised at you...you would leave THE GREAT NORTHEAST and go on the beach at y-key-y Hawaii and do the hoola dance. Sounds like a plan...take me too.

However I must say the fir trees look so pretty when they are covered so delicately with snow. Yesterday I realized I was not looking at the beauty around me but frantic with GOT TO GET STUFF DONE.

Have to go now...GOT TO GET STUFF DONE...watched Flight Plan an action movie last night. Wheeeppeee!

I forgot to say that besides making you forgetful and sleepy...Lyrica makes you fat too.  I had a sharp pain in my stomach today which I did not like at all.  oy vez iz mei!

moanin everone,

I haven't been on in a long while and have been so busy studying and taking my final exams, they were difficult and I am so thankful they are over! I will try to catch up on all the posts that have taken place.

I'm wondering if anyone knows if MTX can cause cysts or hormones to be out of whack?? Since Sept, I have been dealing with the ovarian cysts, and I now have them on both ovaries, they just keep producing cysts over and over. I'm wondering if any of the ladies have had this happen or know if this is common with the MTX?

Other than that juts trying to get ready for the holidays and just now putting up our Christmas tree! How about everyone else??

I hope this finds everyone enjoying their weekend and trying to stay warm.

hey everyone, mom 23 glad to hear finals are over and you can breathe a bit again........ yea that christmas tree took forever this year to put up and i didnt do it...... maybe next year.
ducky major weather across our nation and it is suppose to dump 2 feet in these parts tonight ....... not certain where that will lead but we are buckling the hatches and anticipating the worst.

me i went shopping today and it will set me back 3 days i am certain if not forever! gosh i feel like you erin, so much pain for just a venture out to the mall. had a short pity party for myself this evening but i am over it now trying to find some humor out there to get through this holiday as pain is definetly going to paly a mojor roll in my life right now...... if i EVER thought i didnt need those meds i now KNOW with out a doubt i can not live withuot mtx and enbrel..... i am in sooooooo much pain it is unreal and i had forgotten the dys of prednisone withdrawl and how painful that was..... of course i am not taking pain meds like i should but i am not a pain med type of person..... just never have been..... growing up if i had a headache or something my mom never gave me aspirin she just told me to relax and try and forget it like it was in my mind. so i guess i still question is this in my mind? but if it is dangit i wish i would leave! ugh so i guess i will be grumpy and complaining for a while peps until what mis feb? if i can still get up to move and post... teehee i am not kidding though i am soooooo stiff it is unreal. i no longer have knuckles and my fingers are snausages. i am tired and sore but it hurtsd just to lay in bed so here i sit complaining to my dear friends who know my pain all too well.

well thanks for letting me vent i think i am going to need all of you for the next 2 months so forgive my moanin and i know hopefully i soon will be well again..... lata yally

Rowdy Yates?! You're not old enough to be namin' somethin' Rowdy Yates! Can't believe you even know that name.
Hope all your "rings" go away soon, Erin. I too am hoping it is ringworm. I had a round with that not long ago. Seemed to take forever to go away.
Yally, I've got to do some shopping today also. It always does me in. I hate going to the mall but I must today.
We are supposed to have a heatwave today, in the 40's. Brutal cold last night. My sausages, I mean fingers, are not working properly as well. Joints feel like I've got ten broken fingers.
What I love is being at the checkout and the checker is thumping her nails on the counter because it takes me so long to get my money out. And the kicker is, they're usually OLDER than I am. I have a "Maxine" state of mind these days. I love those cards. They have made it ok for us to get older and sassy!

moanin all,

Yally, don't know where this storm came from but since about midnight last night until now (6:20pm) we've had about 37 cm which I think is about a foot and a bit.
It's blowin around, visibility is nil and its freezing.  It's not supposed to end until tomorrow sometime.  Looks real nice from the window but not so nice if you have to drive.

Fingers and shoulders are real bad today.  I'm anxious for my appt in a couple of weeks.  It's gotta get better than this.

Ta Ta for now

Moanin everyone!

How the heck did I miss and entire thread and a half??? I had to scan...to attempt to catch up. Did not do a very good job. Erin, glad to see you are back. I hope the infection clears up soon. Joan, you have the shingles, not fun I hear! I was actually worried that's what I might have - but it doesn't seem to fit the bill and I don't have time to go to Dr.s right now. My back itches somethign awful. To the point my shirt will hurt it. My psorisis has been acting up on my scalp and hands and thought that might be it -but hubby says it's a little red with lots of pimple-looking things all around my back.  He's been putting lotion on it now and again for me. Not sure what it could be. Tonight I saw somehting similar on my daughter's back - what gives? any ideas folks?

Someone was asking aboutbeing tired an on some meds (mtx or something)...I can't remember now, but I wanted to say take B complex vitamins and some folic acid.

My job has been extended 3 months. Mixed feeling about that. Fighting chest-cold myself (feel better Ducky!) that my kids had over the weekend. Both still congested coughs. May have all of next week off! YEAH! A double yeah if I being extended, I need the break.

I miss you all very much!

OH, and yes, family gathering for daughter's bday went exceptionally well, I thought! ****

Had two days sort of off...now have TONS OF STUFF TO DO. Don't know where to begin. It is almost 4 pm and getting dark here.

Yes the shingles shucks ... you can say that again. Shingle shucks shingles shucks now shingle shucks here and shingle shucks there...dancing and prancing in shingles shucks square in the frost air.

Well at least I make myself giggle. My GERD is acting up and I don't know why. Could be the virus is traveling there??????

Hi everybody and welcome to a thoroughly peed off bear - no news on mortgage, mother in law still perched on the armchair in front of the TV, momma bear stressed out and wanting I don't know what and me trying to sail the course of least resistance between them and the bear cub doing what cubs everywhere do - annoy us adults.

Sounds like great weather up there in Nanook of the north country Raven - wish we had a dose of it over here whilst I don't have to go to work in it.
How long till your operation Yally? I haven't responded to your email yet only because I ddon't see where the conversation would go - I'm not the greatest orator and you have your beliefs and I clearly don't have mine and maybe we should write about what we agree on. yeah I am worried about both you and erin and the health issues you both currently have [that's not to say I don't think about Joan's shingles nor Boo's sister in law and everybody else's body parts that are dysfunctional [and you Ducky you have given me a stinker of a cold and I simply do not get colds].
I do have guilty feelings about my being 'cured' of my arthritic ills by spare part surgery and I read of all the trials and tribulations that everybody here goes through and my stony heart bleeds, Yes I have other issues but apart from stiffness and aches when walking, and limited use of my right hand I manage okay and pain is no longer an issue - aches ain't pain. I am off all meds apart from my pd patches but my meds will be reviewed in February. Hey in February I will find out if I have got a brain - officially. I will have the results of the scan - a three dimensional view of a defunct object. I willl try and get a copy and somehow electronically post it on the site; you can then scare the kids with it.
Camama  hi and glad to see the job is still holding forth = I think aanybody with RA and its associated conditions must be helluva strong people to hold down jobs as well as go through the pain barrier. I never knew my father in law as a well man as he was suffering quite badly with RA when I first met him in '88 and he died in '95 and that was my first contact with RA. I take my hat off to you all as you are wonderful people. It is time for bed now as I am really tired [but I know I will be awake by 4 and then I shall get up and watch the cricket in Sri Lanka.

I hope that this missive finds you all in the best possible health undedr the circumstances and I shall talk again tomorrow.

hi all yally ... what is happening with you. Yikes woman ... are you set for surgery?

o erin growing old is not what it's cracked up to be...probably your poor mother is sitting there because she forgot to get up and she thinks she already did what she is going to do. The brain is the first thing to go.

hope your ring dingaling (that used to be a hot dog shaped cake) works out Erin. I'm rooting for ya.

I must do my housework now.
