Hi I usually post on Crohn's. I was also just diagnosed with Osteoarthritis this year after seeing a rheumy doctor. She has me taking Tramadol 50 MG tabs for pain. Which is not working anymore. The Arthritis is in my wrists, knees, ankels, and hips. Any suggestions.

Hi teddybear,
it's good that you're on Remicade...kills 2 birds with one stone should you have to deal w/ RA as well.
some meds that have helped with severe joint pain for me were: steroid injections directly into the joint; Arthotec; dilaudid; prednsione and actually wrapping the joints up in Lidoderm patches. perhaps looking into some of those may be some of some help.
i'm faced w/ a similar scenario...growing way too tolerant to the pain meds & they're not effective anymore.
unfortunatley the narcotics don't help much w/ the throbbing joint pain (only the steroids do & arthrotec), but they do help with bone, and connective tissue pain.
we're always here to listen & help.
take good care & get on those doc's arses! no excuse to have lousy pain management now a' days.
hang in there.

Hi TBW...I have severe osteo plus 'BAD FEET. Mobic has helped me a lot...am allergic to drugs so 15 mgs are good for me. Sometimes I need a very small dosage to get the full effect.

Sorry you have chron's. I have IBS/constipation and can not handle darvon, etc.

Hi everybody thanks for the the kind words. The Remicade is not working for my arthritis. But it worked for the Crohn's which I am in remission. I am going to ask my Rheum doctor about Embrel.
