I was diagnosed with Sjogren's several years ago. The biggest problem that I'm having now is that my teeth are dying. I had a crown fall out the other day and I'm sure it won't be able to be glued back in. It will probably involve $500.00 for a specialized dentist to cut it out. I had one cut out about 9 mon. ago and was considering an implant but they are $2800.00 for the implant and then you have to have a crown put on top of it so there is another $800.00 or so. I brush my teeth more than anyone I know but because we don/t make enough saliva the plaque sticks to our teeth like glue and you get cavities very easily.
oooffffff... Momma has had it for a few years, and as I'm getting older (cough) I starting to have some of the problems Momma does, is Sjogren's something that is handed down, from one member of a family to another????? I've done some reading and nothing I've seen so far says it is but, its getting a little scarry. Momma used to be able to walk 2 to 3 miles a day not 5 years ago. Now she can not if she stands tooo long she will pass out, has something to do with blood not reaching her brain quick enough... they have done test on her heart and its ok, something to do with blood pressure I think is what she said. But I've been like that for years, if I stand to quick I get really light headed and will almost fall over, and I've not been able to walk a mile without problems for years now. So, I was just wondering if that might be a possibality (sorry for the spelling)
