Little background, 25 years ago, I was first told I had Lupus, then the Rheumatologist said it was RA.  Moved from the East Coast to the West Coast 10 years ago, and my symptoms went away, so I never followed up.  Now my new doctor ran an arthritis panel, followed by the above test, and mine has come back 186 AU/mL and anything 41 AU/mL and greater is positive.  The question is, does my results being SO high mean anything other that I probably have this?
My symptoms:
dry eyes
dry mouth
itchy ears
joint pain
GERD
irratable bowl
fatigue
and others that I tend to ignore (shoot, I've ignored the above symptoms for 6-8 yrs now!)

Thanks,
Desertduty

Those problems are indicative of so many of the auto-immune diseases! Since the basic treatment is the same for a lot of them, like lupus & sjogrens, drs often treat with plaquenil and prednisone to see waht the response is before committing to a definite dx.
