My husband has been taking trazadone for 5 years.  He has been snoring very loudly.  when he doesn't take the med, he does't snore.  Does anyone have any feed back?

Hi again Koko,

I have been taking trazodone for a very long time. It too helps me stay asleep and get a good nights rest. Otherwise my mind is racing with too many thoughts and just doesn't shut off.

Trazodone will put you in a very deep sleep, and your husband's snoring is probably a sign that he is getting just that. Some people feel dragged out and tired the next day as well. It use to have that effect on me but I am now doing fine with that. I guess my body just had to build up a tolerance to it. How does he feel the next morning/day?

Koko,

Welcome to the HW family.

As Sukay stated, trazadone does induce heavier sleep. I used to snore before trazadone, so I am not sure if there was a difference. But it wore off over time. I would not too worry too much about it unless it sounds like he is not breathing in between. Other than that, it probably messes up your sleep.
